UBC Nursing - September 2013

Hey Everyone!

I'm hoping to apply for UBC nursing 2013, but I am a little worried as I haven't volunteered for 2 years. My question is, if I get back into volunteering this summer will my chances of being accepted be higher?

Do you know what time they usually start sending out everyday? i think im getting paralyzed refreshing every second

Because both friday and monday are holidays, emails will be sent this week and next week. We should all know either way by the end of next week

I'm going to go ahead and say invites will be sent up to Thursday or even tomorrow, the bad news will come next week. This has been the previous pattern.

Hey Guys,

Don't panic, they take a really long time to send out invites because each email is personalized (to let you know your score, etc).

Last year applicants were still receiving invites into the second week of April so it will be all this week, next week and possibly a couple the week following that.

The waiting game just sucks :(

Thanks for the note of positivity stareyes! I'm sure with that many invites it will take until next week for sure as they've said. There are a lot of us sitting on pins and needles right now...

Hey guys! I've been following this thread for a while now. Thought I'd finally join in and let you guys know I am also waiting anxiously for an invitation!

I do have a question for you all;

I was told recently that the average age of people accepted into UBC's program is around 30, and that most or almost all of them already have a prior degree.

Do you know if this is true? I know you only need a minimum of 48 credits but I was wondering if they still favor people who already have a degree/are older. This makes me nervous because I have only been in university for two years.

Hey gang! I jusssssst received my interview invite. I'm a Canadian in-province applicant. I have a prior degree (in political science) with a low 80s average.

They asked for a confirmation of attendance at the interview by April 2nd.

Any other questions feel free to ask.
