UBC Nursing Interview....Help!!!

Hello,

I've just got a quick question for you all today. On thursday I was given an interview for the accelerated BSN program at UBC. The interview is set for this monday, and at present I'm frantically trying to prepare for the interview. I was wondering if you could give me some feedback as to the interview itself....ie questions, number of interviewers...etc.

Thank you so much for your help.

Darrell

hey coast, i just wanna ask, was there an essay?

i'm assuming you guys probably aren't allowed to tell us about the interview, but how long was it? the "expect to stay at least two hours" part is kinda scary! :)

i'm definitely nervous about tomorrow..!

Hey Jamie,

Ya they made us sign a confidentiality form! Sneaky sneaky...it was really chill though, and I would say I was there for the full 2 hours. Seriously I worked myself up too much, the best thing you can do is relax and be yourself! Best of luck!

I agree with coastliving. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. I was there for the full 2 hours, and no there is no essay at the end. Just have confidence in yourself =) Smile!

Hey Guys!

So I'm in for the Sept. 2009 intake and am very nervous!!! Has anyone heard any detailed information about the program? what to expect? how the clinical rotations are? what the classes are like? how intense the program is? any information would be awesome :)

thanks!

Hey Guys just a few Qs..

I recently graduated with a Psychology Degree. After my first year i was required to withdraw but my average for 300/400 level classes has been B+/A-..I have tons of volunteer work and have a dream of becoming a nurse.

Do you know if UBC will automatically disqualify me because of my RTW on my transcript?

Karla

UBC Nursing only looks at your most recently completed 30 credits to calculate the avg GPA (plus the anatomy and physiology pre-reqs). So I suspect that your RTW would not be a deal breaker. But it's safer to check with the admission office first. They do emphasize quite a bit on extra-curricular activities, so it's good that you have lots of experiences to talk about on the supplemental.
