Hello,

I've just got a quick question for you all today. On thursday I was given an interview for the accelerated BSN program at UBC. The interview is set for this monday, and at present I'm frantically trying to prepare for the interview. I was wondering if you could give me some feedback as to the interview itself....ie questions, number of interviewers...etc.

Thank you so much for your help.

Darrell

Hello gals!

So I got an email today and my interview is on April 27th at 2pm! I'm getting some serious butterflies! Anyone else on that date of before?

Very Exciting

Hi coast, mine is on the 29th! I am kinda scared, because I wonder how they decide who goes first or who goes 2nd. I am on the last day, so I wonder whether that's because I am ranked lower than others, or because my last name starts with a "Z". May I ask what's the first letter of your last name?

And the interview process is CRAZY SCARY! I am so afraid now. Perhaps we could practice together .lol

Hello uncage me,

I really doubt they have ranked everyone and given them earlier dates, the the initial of my last name is G, so your theory makes sense!

I'm alittle nervous but more excited to show them what well-suited I am for the school of nursing. Is this your second degree uncage me?

How are you going to prepare?

i think it might be alphabetical...my last name starts with W and my interview is on the 29th :)

Hi Ladies,

I have my interview on the 28th...last name explains the dates :)

So I guess there are 6 mini interviews and no essay or anything else? I'm really nervous, not quite sure what to expect!

i was wondering about the essay too. they had to do one last year, but i'm wondering if they were told in advance?

does anybody know what our chances are at this point? it would be pretty disappointing to go through the interview process and then not make it :(

I'm on the 28 too! Maybe I will see you there, Sarah_604?

this is my second degree, I am an old fart :D

I heard that this year the program has slightly changed, so they're taking in fewer ppl than previous years..it's usually 120 ppl getting in, but this year they're only taking 90 ppl. I am not sure how many ppl are offered interviews this year...but i guess the chances are a little lower. *cross my fingers*. So i have reason to be a little bit concerned!!!

Good luck to everybody though!

But i dont' suggest over-practising for your interview though, if you sound too reheorificed they might not think u're genuine?? I guess talk a lot about your diversity of interests, so it seems like u have an open mind and are an actual person with actual likes/dislikes..:)

but I am just guessing that...any suggestions?

I think it'd be a bit hard to practice scenario questions...I think the best thing to do is just to read up as much as you can about nursing so that you go to the interview prepared with a background in nursing.

Hi all,

I just wanted to let you all know that I won't be interviewing with UBC nursing after all this year. After careful consideration, I've decided I would rather take a few more upgrading courses before tackling nursing school, so that I begin nursing school feeling very well prepared. Good luck to all of you at interviews!

I have my interview tomorrow and I am really scared!!!! I wonder if any of you have gone already and can give me some pointers?

Hey uncage me,

I had mine yesterday...don't fret. Its really not that bad at all just be yourself and as confident as you can!

Good Luck!
