UAB AMNP 2017

Published

Hey everyone! I'm currently a student at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. I graduate this December and I'll be applying to UAB's AMNP program this Fall for the Spring 2017 class! I hope this group/thread can be used to help each other out through the application process. Also, to anyone currently in the AMNP program, please don't hesitate to drop in and share your application experience! :)

I know several people who have recently finished or are in phase two of the amnp program and they all lived with nurses from the program and said that they spent the majority of their time with them. I have a house in Gardendale which is only about 15-20 min north of Birmingham that's in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Irrelevant to the fact if I am accepted into the program or not I have 1-2 bedrooms if anyones interested. Ive worked at UAB in the ER for the last 3.5 years while completing a full time MBA practicum through UAB following my undergraduate work. Needless to say I understand the need to study and the intensity of the information covered! Just an offer! Best of luck to everyone.

This is the week everybody! Good Luck!!!

I got an email! October 27 is my day! Good luck to all of y'all ☺️

Me too!!!! Woohoo!!! My interview is Oct 28.

I was screaming so loud when I got the email that my roommate came to check on me. OMG!!! I got an interview for October 25th.

Same here! Got an interview on October 25th. I live in Texas though. Do they do phone/skype interviews? Do you think that would hurt my chances?

I got an interview and I live in Texas too. I called to get a phone/FaceTime/ skype interview on October 18

i don't think it will hurt you as long as you really show enthusiasm.

I had a skype interview for Rush University generalist entry master's program and was accepted. Unfortunately, now I'm nervous because if I get accepted to the amnp program, I'll have a very tough choice to make.

I just got my email! October 24!!

Woo!!!!!! Just got mine too! Good luck to everyone!

Did any of you respond to the email? I just read everything in the email twice and I'm not seeing anywhere it asks for a response besides in the subject.

You need to respond to confirm that you will be attending at the listed time/location in the email.

Didn't someone give us information that x number apply, x number get interview, x get accepted? Just trying to see the odds!
