hello New Nurses!

I am a new grad, december 07!!!! I am a little frustrated with my school of nursing because they arent allowing us to take boards until after taking a review course. I feel like I am just at a standstill, we cant even work a s GN's. they will not submit any paperwork for the state until after completing our course.

I was wondering if any of you had an idea as to when I may be sitting for boards. My review class is over on 1/22. I am praying that on the last night of my kaplan review, they will hand us our certificates of completion so that I can take everything to my scool the next day.

ok, so back to my question. When did you graduate and when did you take boards? ijust would like a general idea of how long the process is. I am worried sick that I wont be taking boards until March, when I gradauted n December......

thanks

We had a review built into our program as well which was very helpful. We graduated Dec 14th, I got my ATT on Dec 22nd and I could've tested as early as Dec 29th, but I took a HESI class and wanted a couple of weeks to do some more review. I tested the end of Jan.

Most of us tested by the middle of Feb.

I graduated on December 14th of 2006, and passed boards on January 18th of 2007.

Good Luck and congratulations on graduation!

I graduated Dec.21, 2007 and today I was able to pick a day to test. Takes about a week after the State Board of Nursing gets your paper work and junk into there systems. I will be taking my boards on Feb. 5, 2008. That's the earliest it would let me choose.

I graduated in May 2007, took a one week review course the very next week. The earliest i could test was June 13, couple of people in my class got earlier test dates.

I graduated early June 07 and took boards 2 mos later in Aug 07. We had some review time built into our last term and of course studied at home prior to taking the test.

Graduated December 16th, 2007 and passed the NCLEX January 16, 2008

Graduated December 21, 2007. Received ATT 3 days later, but didn't check the email until 2 weeks later (oops!) so the soonest test date I could get was February 1, 2008.

My school sent in our paperwork 4 weeks before graduation, they say it takes 4-6 weeks to process, but since yours is going in kinda late, maybe they will have less to process.

Also if you haven't, pay the $200 dollars to PearsonVue NOW!!! You can do that way early, and it will help you get your ATT faster (since they are the ones who actually send it).

Hope you get to test soon!

I'm officially graduating Feb. 1st

I have no desire to take the boards immediately... maybe late March/Early April. I just got review materials for the first time 2 weeks ago from my friend who passed 2 years ago, so, I know I'm behind in studying. Good luck with your boards!:w00t:
