how many people find that they type dyslexic? seems like no matter what, i almost always have to edit my post to fix all the dyslexic type errors?

BTW, Rick-what is this about flight nursing? Are you going to be a heilocopter nurse? That is what I wanted to be, way back. I was told I could have the job when I finished ADN (I was LPN w/critical care exp.) My ex said that if I took that job he would leave me. I should've ex'd HIM out sooner!

It could be "tirde" as in a mispelling of something that belongs under the "How many names do you have for constipation thread! LMAO!!" CEN35

LOL! that would be "tired". The other mispelling would be constipaiton. Course, if I were either, I'd still make typos.

actually i have always wanted to do the flight nursing thing........this is something i do every year with them though.

my wife would not tolerate it either......but we'll just say she has no say so anymore......they did have an add in the paper, and the competition has tried to get me to come there.....unofficially.

i am considering it. our facility is going through some major changes........although i couldn't imagine ever leaving where i work now, i really am seeing it is likely.

management clearly sees things differently than staff does. when supply outweighs demand, there is one way you can think and act.

when demand outweighs supply, you need to re-think your approach.

our facility in my mind, seems to have the supply outweighs the demand attitude, when in reality, demand outweighs the supply......we'll see how long that lasts.

anyways.............................. that is another topic.

life changes and situations make us all re-evaluate things...........we're only here once.......we should be happy and do what we want/need to do.......regardless of the outcome!

I type dyslexic all the time,and i try check my posts before I hit submit but i have got that used to seeing ahve instead of have that i don't always catch them.

It makes MSword earn its keep.

i rarely see my errors for some reason, until after i hit "submit reply" lol!

When I rush and my thoughts are flowing quicker than my fingers it is almost certian you will read my mistakes - Particularly if l am being passionate about a subject or just wnat to get out what is racing in my head- I am still not sure how to edit my posts and then when l read it l think well none of the BB contributers are silly they will KNOW what l mean - also its like I can nver get the smilies in when I am adding to a post - I should go back and learn how to do that again - any suggestions -

I know its in the bulleting boards somewhere just not sure where.

Having been a secretary for a zillion years, and worked my way through college by typing frat guys' papers, I can say in all honesty that my typing is flawless:mad: 65 wpm, with 3 or less errors.;)

My problem is not always typing errors, but the throught process. I was answering the "favorite things" thread. I mentioned children laughing...well, after I hit submit, I re-read my post and found "children life". WTH? LoL...I use the backspace often, and usually catch myself in the middle of the sentence. Even without looking at the screen as to what I'm typing I can usually catch my error and jump over to the backspace key.

After my divorce in 98, I spent a lot of time online. I even helped a guy study for his pilot (teaching) license online. After typing all day at work, and all night at home, it got to the point I could type no more because of the pain. I went to my dr, and she said I didn't have carpel tunnel...Thank God.

Now I'm remarried and my husband whines I'm online 24/7. If he actually thinks that's true, it's a good thing he didn't know me during my chat days. Shhh, he's at work now, and I'm sitting here on the couch with my laptop. hehehehe! Hey! It's research! I mean, I am 4 pre-req's away from nursing school.

I am also from the manual typewriter era, I used to allow half a day to type and re-type the bibliography page for my papers. Couldn't get the spacing or the punctaution right! Many re-types. I was excited to graduate nursing college and never have to type again. Little did I know computers were coming.

I now do telephone triage and type while on the phone as the caller is talking. I'm sure the MD offices get a laugh out of my "typos" when they read it.

I do think that thinking faster than typing is part of the problem. I thought I was a good spellier back in school, just my fingers can't spell!!

I type very slow just to make sure I dont mess up and some how I still find my self going back and fixing errors!

It doesnt help that Im tired but my fingers seen to do the opposite to my brain and the result is total gibberish
