TWU Spring 2018

Hi!

I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!

My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.

How about y'all?

Well all that waiting to find out I didn't get accepted. Really bummed out. That's 3 denials in less than 2 weeks. Congrats to everyone that made it. Hopefully i'll Get lucky next to around

Don't sweat it too much. I've been denied 9 times and excepted 1, with 4 more notices to come. If it doesn't work out this go around think about retaking the TEAS/HESI and possibly retake some of your pre-requisites to boost your GPA.

Check your unofficial transcript in pioneer portal / webadvisor

I already have a degree, so I can only see my post-bacc transcript. It's okay! Thank you! I'll call tomorrow :)

Ok, I think I made a group on Facebook: TWU Houston Nursing Class of December 2019. Will totally delete if I didn't do it right :D Facebook really isn't my thing

I'm a post-bac too, but mine says "completed in previous degree" wherever it is applicable, but that may have been something that changed after acceptance. I cannot quite remember. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

For those accepted, what was the acception deadline for y'all? I got waitlisted and would like to have an idea of wheb I might find out if they have a spot for me.

Hooray! I got accepted into the Houston campus!

Nursing Core GPA: 3.56

Pre-req GPA: 3.655

TWU Preference: Yes

Bachelor's Degree: No

Composite TEAs Score: 84%

TWU Score: 54.70

On the acceptance email, it says we have to send them the forms to accept/deny the offer "by Friday, October 20, 2017 by 5pm CST".

Accepted to Houston with 47.17 points! Congrats to everyone! I sent a request to join that Facebook group. I'm gonna need a roommate!
