TWU Spring 2018

Hi!

I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!

My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.

How about y'all?

Hey guys, hypothetical question.... If lets say you guys got accepted to twu and ut health houston, which one would you pick and why?

For many reasons which are unique to me and my situation, I would choose TWU. Both appear to be great options.

If you don't mind me asking how many points did you have? Just trying to see how far out I was. Thanks.

I got accepted to Houston with 49.5-49.8 points I can't remember exactly.

Congrats to everyone who got in! I just found out i'm #5 on the waitlisted list for Dallas. :( Hoping for the best, but is there anyone that's planning on declining their Dallas acceptance? It would be really helpful to let us people on the waitlist know.

I asked a similar question earlier on this thread. Responses are around pg 22. :) I applied to SHSU, TWU and UTHSC. I went to info sessions to both TWU and UT. I enjoyed the camaraderie and overall "feel" of TWU. However, I also really connected with the UT campus. I could see myself at both, however I am not sure the accelerated program that UT offers is for me.

I am still debating that question. I am currently awaiting admissions to UTH, but I am leaning more toward TWU. I read that TWU have better preceptorships. I didn't feel like UTH was very helpful during the admissions process and even gave me the wrong information. TWU have been very transparent about the whole process and that gave me more confidence about how much they cared about the students. I also read that TWU students are much more prepared for clinicals since the program is paced out a bit longer (24mos) as opposed to UTH (15mos).

Ok, I think I made a group on Facebook: TWU Houston Nursing Class of December 2019. Will totally delete if I didn't do it right :D Facebook really isn't my thing
