TWU Spring 2018

Hi!

I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!

My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.

Hi guys! First of all, congrats to everyone that got accepted! Unfortunately for me that is not the case. :( but I do have one question tho, my email specifically says that there is a shortage of qualified facilities for rotations and because of this, not all qualified students can be accepted. My email said that if more spots were to open up, they would call more qualified students to fill up those spots. So I'm confused over this is a waitlisted email or rejection email?

I got the same email.

Congrats to everyone who got in! I just found out i'm #5 on the waitlisted list for Dallas. :( Hoping for the best, but is there anyone that's planning on declining their Dallas acceptance? It would be really helpful to let us people on the waitlist know.

Accepted to Houston with 49 points! I literally just woke up from my nap and refreshed my email, read the acceptance letter while still groggy and in a daze. Trying to process everything.

I am wait-listed as well for Dallas. How did you find out where you land on the list? I called and they told me they wouldn't have that information until the end of the week.

I am still debating that question. I am currently awaiting admissions to UTH, but I am leaning more toward TWU. I read that TWU have better preceptorships. I didn't feel like UTH was very helpful during the admissions process and even gave me the wrong information. TWU have been very transparent about the whole process and that gave me more confidence about how much they cared about the students. I also read that TWU students are much more prepared for clinicals since the program is paced out a bit longer (24mos) as opposed to UTH (15mos).
