Hi!
I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!
My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.
How about y'all?
im convinced im filling out the spreadsheet wrong.. the boxes with 'n/a' to the far left (usually for labs) are yall entering the grades for that or just the boxes that read '30' or some other number in the very far left box
I'm concerned about the accuracy of my points as well so I scheduled a phone meeting with an advisor. Seems like many people on the forum have done that as well.

I was confused as well but an adviser offered some clarification. When filling out the excel sheet allocate 1 credit hour for lab and 3 credit hours for lecture (if you are a transfer student you would enter credit hours under "trans", your points will be calculated for you (hard to see, points appear grayed out under the last box of the excel sheet) If you have not yet taken your TEAS exam you will have a negative score, however once you enter your TEAS score your overall points will be complete.
Hi everyone! I decided to finally make an account after realizing that so many other people are on the same boat as me through this nerve racking process. I'm applying for the 2018 Spring semester at the Dallas Campus. I'm taking the Teas this week and hoping to do good, but I guess I wanted to see what score I would need for a realistic shot at getting accepted. I've read a couple of other comments from previous semesters about transfer students not getting in despite having really good overall scores and that's really terrifying, but also seems a little over exaggerated? My GPA is a 4.0 (for both pre-reqs and sciences) and I have no 'bump' or preferences. What do you guys think would be the minimum score I should shoot for?
p.s I'm also taking Patho this fall 2017 semester at the Dallas campus just in case I get accepted and can get myself ahead in any way. Anyone else?
I had a 3.7 gpa and an 87 on the teas and didn't get in last semester. (With no bumps) I would say with your 4.0 if you get somewhere around that score you should be okay. The minimum points they have accepted in previous years, from what I've read, is 48 points. After you take the teas input your scores and gpa in the excel spread sheet to see how many points you have!
Yeah i'm hoping for a score somewhere around that. I've spoken to a few TWU advisors and read other forums regarding the previous spring semester, and from what I could tell, it was easier to get into the Spring semester than the fall. Mostly because most TWU students apply for the fall semester and they kind of have guaranteed admissions with the huge bump they get. According to another forum the lowest accepted Dallas score was 43.1 points back in Spring 2016 meanwhile the Fall 2016 semester was 51.1pts. I don't want to rely too much on that, but I'm hoping the case is similar!
Hey y'all! I've decided to finally join in on the conversation! I am currently applying for TWU Dallas and Collin College for nursing school. I have a 4.0 GPA for the prerequisite and nursing core GPA with no TWU bumps or previous bachelor's degree. I will be taking my TEAS test on July 31st, so I am praying for a good grade there. I am also taking Patho at the Dallas Campus in the Fall along with some of y'all I see. Can't wait to meet you! Wish y'all the best!

You mean if you're not already admitted to the program. I knew this, thanks for the clarification though.
