TWU Spring 2018

Published

Hi!

I haven't seen a thread made for the TWU Spring 2018 application process, so decided to start one! I'm the type to worry, and I know I'm not alone, so what better place to vent than here? For anyone wondering, the application date for Spring 2018 is August 15th, 2017!

My GPA comes out to a 3.720 with TWU preference. I haven't taken my TEAs yet, but plan to soon.

How about y'all?

Hello, I will be applying for spring '18 to the Houston campus. Here are my stats:

Nursing Core GPA: 3.56

Pre-req GPA: 3.655

TWU Preference: Yes

Bachelor's Degree: No

Composite TEAs Score: 84%

TWU Score: 54.70

I submitted my application last week! Fingers crossed! Good luck to everyone :)

Is anybody taking patho online? Finally signed up!

Also, getting super nervous! I only have 46 points and am applying to the Houston campus. Hoping it's enough and it's not a freak semester... :(

Hi! May I ask if you're currently an RN? I tried to register for it, but I was told that it's currently reserved for RNs, and there's a waitlist for non-RNs. Thanks! Good luck!

I'll be taking Patho section 50 online.

I'm taking patho online! I'm in section 51 with Grigsby.

I think you should be fine with 46 points for Houston. My advisor told me that last semester, the cut off for Houston was about 38 points.

are you required to have 46 credit hours before applying?

are you required to have 46 credit hours before applying?

Correct. Of those 46, you need to have Developmental Psychology (Lifespan), Intro to Nutrition, Elementary Statistics I, A&P I and II, Microbiology, and Chemistry completed before you can apply for the program.

i'll have my full 46 hours by the end of this december as well as my TEAs. Am I still able to apply for Fall 2018?

I am! section 51

Just took the TEAS yesterday. Ended up getting an 86% overall which i'm really surprised with because I thought I did terrible. With a 4.0 GPA and no bumps, that puts me at about 49.3 points and I don't know if that would be enough for the Dallas Campus. So i'll probably end up retaking it, what do you guys think?

In another situation: My boyfriend is also trying to apply for the 2018 spring semester at the Dallas Campus. He has a 4.0 GPA, no bumps, and got an 88% overall on his TEAS test. He got a 100% on math, 85% on reading, 95% on science, but he got a 68% on English. He has about 50.9 points with that score, but would that 68% he got in English kind of count against him? I'm not sure if TWU just cares about what a student got overall or if that individual score would count against him. Any advice?
