  1. Accepted to Houston!
  2. You're welcome! Yea, she mentioned the average scores 3.50-3.8 gpa, TEAS 85 average. She stated once again, that they take the most recent TEAS score not necessarily the highest. Same with grades, if you retake a class, they'll take the most recent grade so be mindful of that
  3. I went to the open house this morning. A lot of the information shared was some of the same information that, since we're past the application phase, most of us should already be familiar. Things such as gpa, TEAS scores, the actual application process. They went a little more in depth about financial aid and when the best time to apply would be. They also spoke about parking, the cost and the different options available.... let's see, they also talked about the different activities that they have for students on and around campus. We had some current students tell us about their experience with the university, what they know now and what they wish they knew entering the program. What I liked the most about the open house today was that one of the speakers, (who I'm assuming is a professor, I forgot her exact title) went through the classes for the upper level division, semester by semester, and told us in a broad sense what to expect as far as what our work week will look like. Basically she was like expect to be in class this many days and in clinical this many days and expect this type of exam for this kind of class.. She did say that what she has noticed is that the students who struggle the most are the ones that don't have a strong a&p, micro and chem background. She said chem not so much as the other two but she did include it. So if you haven't already began brushing up on those subjects, it might be a good idea. Before I forget they also mentioned looking into the idea of externships during the summer once you start. I wish I could go more into detail, I'm sorry guys! Lol I was so tired.
  4. My application has been processed. My last name begins with O :)
  5. I'm going!
  6. I am! section 51
  7. You mean if you're not already admitted to the program. I knew this, thanks for the clarification though.
  8. You're right, there were 2 sections on there initially. When I registered, I was only allowed to choose 51, which had houston as the location and there were also only 30 spots available and now section 51 is there but there are now 50 spots total, at least when I searched it. Its also under the same teacher that I initially registered with so I think they may just have combined the sections. Idk what's going on either, I do hope they hop in here to clarify like you mentioned
  9. Actually, you CAN take patho in the fall if you are in houston but only online. I live in houston and I'm currently enrolled in patho for fall. I went to an info session in May and the advisor said that Houston candidates are only allowed to enroll in the online class. You just need a department code to enroll which the advisor should have given to you. I'm not sure why they said its reserved for RNs only...
  10. We're allowed to take it because its a biology course. I had a phone interview with an advisor, I asked her about the class and she gave me the dept code
  11. Me too! I'm applying to the Houston campus. What about you?
  12. I'm not allowed to pm yet since I'm so new to the site but I'm applying to the Houston campus and if you're not in the nursing program yet I believe you only have the option of taking it online and there's only one instructor
  13. I am, I registered for the online class. Are you?
