Hello everyone! I tried to search for a thread for TWU Houston Spring 2016 applicants but I couldn't find it so I decided to make one. I have read multiple threads from the past TWU applicants and I cant seem to figure out where I stand because some got accepted with low GPA but high TEAS score while others high GPA but low TEAS score. A little bit confused on how TWU determine their candidates.
Is anyone else applying to TWU this Spring? If so what's your stats?
My stats:
GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 76
No previous degree
4 TWU preference ( not sure if this gonna help or not anymore)
@spookyboxes Hi! Don't worry! I see plenty of people with GPA around 3.5 that got in! The only thing we should be worry about is our TEAS scores mine is actually even lower than yours. Finger crossed for both of us. I read the past threads from 2015 applicants and I mostly see people that make at least 80 on the TEAS got in. Are you applying anywhere else?
@147nataly you have to apply as an undergrad first and pay $50 (you have to send all transcripts, etc), once you get admitted to TWU undergrad at denton, go to your pioneer account, under my tools, apply for nursing program Houston and pay $30.
How many of you guys have taken the computer class? Or do y'all plan on testing out of it? I'm taking it to graduate form Lodestar College this Fall 15' in order to apply for scholarships from Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I'm not sure if it will count toward the prerequisite, due to it being 3 credit hours and not 4, which includes the lab.
What other Math course did y'all take? (other than statistics)
@bryanv I'm not really familiar with the lone star college. but I took college algebra and statistics for my maths
@mhortillosa I took those too. I emailed someone at TWU and they said that as long as I have Statistics and another math class (in this case is College Algebra) they will count for my two math requirements.
Hi guys! I'm also applied for TWU Spring 2016 along with UTMB (Summer 2016), SHSU, and Texas tech.
I'm taking an extra math class for TWU (Quantitative Literacy) I know it said if student already core complete then you don't have to take it but i'm not sure if i'm core complete or not LOL so i'm taking it to be safe. I already took Statistic and College Algebra.
I just have statistics and college algebra. You basically just need the statistics I, but since college algebra is a prerequisite to take statistics. you got two maths you have to take basically
@valxoxo7 It says that it is on one of their transfer guides but you can test out of it. I think it might be just to know if we know how to use a computer and Microsoft programs. I wouldn't worry about it. Here is a link to their prerequisites for Community Colleges. If you have any questions bout it you can e-mail them.
