Hello everyone! I tried to search for a thread for TWU Houston Spring 2016 applicants but I couldn't find it so I decided to make one. I have read multiple threads from the past TWU applicants and I cant seem to figure out where I stand because some got accepted with low GPA but high TEAS score while others high GPA but low TEAS score. A little bit confused on how TWU determine their candidates.
Is anyone else applying to TWU this Spring? If so what's your stats?
My stats:
GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 76
No previous degree
4 TWU preference ( not sure if this gonna help or not anymore)
Hi all, I am also applying to TWU Houston for the spring. I have to wait four more weeks to submit my application though because I am currently taking stats(my last prerequisite). So far my GPA is a 3.77 and TEASV is a 91.3%. I have been admitted to TWU but I don't see anything about a pioneer portal as someone previously mentioned. I also applied to UTMB. If I get accepted to UTMB within the next four weeks, I am not applying to TWU since UTMB is my first choice.

I used the ati study book, and flashcards from Barnes and Nobel. I did LOTS of practice test.
Where did you get your practice tests? @candicecoconut ?
2 practice test came with the study guide, then I bought a book from B&N that came with 5 practice test. I also googled practice test for each section and found a couple for free online.
I read the study guide cover to cover!! I read the rationals for the answers as well.
I'm glad to find this thread. I am currently a PCA at methodist and I finally finished all my prerequisite as of this summer. I repeated 5 classes since when I started school back in austin 2011- I had few problems I encountered that inhibit me on doing good in my classes. Anyhow,
My overall gpa is: 3.0 (but this is gpa including all my gpa's from the past, but TWU admission says that they take the most recent grade for the repeated prerequisites, so my gpa would be 3.6 if that is the case.) and I calculated my recent grades for science classes which are micro, a&p I and II, chemistry, psychology, lifespan, nutrition=3.86.
I haven't taken TEAS V. But I have it set up for late august because I am taking my HESI A2 next week.
Does anyone know if I can take TEAS V in another school? because here's an example. I try registering to TEAS V uthealth- it tells me first-"Uthealth applicants only" Do I still proceed??? Anyone did the same?
Retaking classes seems to be a great thing for TWU, as they encouraged it in their info session to bring up your GPA, so congrats on that! Might be what I will have to end up doing to bring up mine if things don't go as planned for me!
Good luck on your HESI and TEAS! I am also taking my TEAS in late August along with some other guys from this thread!
I sent my TWU application yesterday, but I'm really scared that I'm not going to get in. I only have a 3.56 GPA but I am currently retaking A & P 2 to hopefully boost my GPA up more. And my Teas score isn't that great either its only a 77.5% and TWU is stupid and you can only take the TEAS once per application cycle.I really hope I get in, and I did take most of my classes at the TWU main campus so hopefully that helps, so hopefully I am competitive enough :c

@brightocean, I don't think they do, but I would just call their admissions office and ask, they are very friendly!
