TWU Spring 2014 Applicants

Hey everyone. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those hoping to get into TWU starting Spring 2014. My name is Kia and I have already sent in my application and completed my TEAS V exam. I'll be in the Denton campus patho class this fall (trying to wait patiently for an acceptance letter-GOD willing).

Does anyone know about the immunizations we need to have? Like do we have to go through a checklist?

For those who are on the waitlist, keep your hope up. I know a girl who was 8th on the list and got accepted to Dallas campus today.

Yes, they are listed on the TWU website, as well as in the email they just sent out (I got it really late last night).

Did anyone else receive the email recently filled with all the info about background checks, clinical sites, orientation date ect. ?

On there it lists a website you go to to give them your clinical site preferences (you get to choose three), but they are listed only as areas. For example, "Central South/Southwest Dallas". Seems like it would have made things a lot easier to list which hospitals are in all these areas, because I don't know about you guys but I don't know every area.

Also one of the options is "Plano/Allen/Frisco area". That's such a huge area! Plano wouldn't be that far for me but Frisco is like twice as far. I wish they weren't all in one option!

No I didn't... I faxed in my confirmation and sent them an e-mail. did you guys call to confirm they received the acceptance letter? I been checking the mail box for the package too. no luck yet!

I just e-mailed the advisor , she said only students at Dallas has received their e-mail/package. So wait a few more days..

Does anyone know how many applicants applied for this semester? Just wondering since I heard last couple semesters were all around the 800-900s. thanks!

900 applicants? Wow!

I heard that the TWU HOU orientation packet will be mailing out within a few weeks. So, there will be no packet mailing out this week or next week.

Thanks for the info about the TWU HOU packet everyone. I was getting kinda worried, but I do hope they send it out soon. I need all the time I can get to get everything done before orientation
