I was in the 8:30 group as well. It was more people than I was expecting in one group. Wonder how quick they'll be about call backs

I haven't seen one either. I applied and will be going to the interview day thing on the 16th. What will you be interviewing for? I'm doing L&D.

Memorial Herman Spring 2016 Residency
It was fast! They said they were very interested and are having me go back in for another interview today. So hopefully that goes well! Haven't heard from Katy today as of yet. I interviewed L&D for both hospitals.

I heard from Sugar Land today and at the Katy location they told us we would hear by tomorrow. Don't know anything for TMC, sorry!

Dilemma regarding offer at current company
I feel awkward about sending reference requests to my current manager when she knows I've accepted her offer. I suppose I should just get over it and accept the fact that she knows I'm continually looking!

Dilemma regarding offer at current company
Yes my nurse manager knows that L&D is my first choice, as I listed it first on my application (L&D, PP and NICU are all one app) and she mentioned it in my interview. The offer says I have to turn it in by Wednesday. So I suppose I will accept it and then resign later on should I need to. I suppose it just seems a little awkward since I'm currently working there, but hopefully she will understand (if I get another!).

Dilemma regarding offer at current company
So I am currently in my last semester, and have been applying to pretty much every single L&D residency I can find. I currently work as a PCT on a postpartum unit, and my manager really wants me to work there. I have already been extended an offer by my hospital for new grad RN job on my current postpartum floor. In many ways this is an awesome opportunity, however, my main goal is L&D. Since I have applied so many places and it's still so early in the game, I am worried about accepting my current offer and then getting an L&D offer later. I know there have been many discussions about the acceptability of declining offers after previously accepting on here, but it seems different and more personal to me in this situation since I currently work at this hospital on the very same floor. Is this situation really no different? Am I overthinking it? Is it acceptable, or would it be looked on poorly to later change my mind and accept an offer elsewhere when I currently work at the hospital offering initial employment?

(CORRECTION) Ben Taub New Grad Residency Springs 2k16.
They sent out an email saying thanks for applying and it had information about a new graduate fair/session on October 24th. Since I'm out of town I probably won't go, but they did say if that was the case you could email them your documents. I'm assuming we won't hear anything until at least November if they aren't doing the session until the 24th.

Relocating to Dallas area - VA hospital
I have done a few clinicals at the Dallas VA and the building is older, and a bit depressing honestly. The charting is one of the very first charting systems invented, they use CPRS for charting and BCMA for medications. The IV pumps on the floors I've been to are good. They are the Alaris smart pumps.

I applied for Women's Services as well! Anybody know the general timeline of hearing back, getting calls and interviews, etc? It seems like some places are really fast and others suuuuuuuuper slow.
