It was fast! They said they were very interested and are having me go back in for another interview today. So hopefully that goes well! Haven't heard from Katy today as of yet. I interviewed L&D for both hospitals.
So I am currently in my last semester, and have been applying to pretty much every single L&D residency I can find. I currently work as a PCT on a postpartum unit, and my manager really wants me to work there. I have already been extended an offe...

I feel awkward about sending reference requests to my current manager when she knows I've accepted her offer. I suppose I should just get over it and accept the fact that she knows I'm continually looking!

Yes my nurse manager knows that L&D is my first choice, as I listed it first on my application (L&D, PP and NICU are all one app) and she mentioned it in my interview. The offer says I have to turn it in by Wednesday. So I suppose I will acce...

They sent out an email saying thanks for applying and it had information about a new graduate fair/session on October 24th. Since I'm out of town I probably won't go, but they did say if that was the case you could email them your documents. I'm assu...
I have done a few clinicals at the Dallas VA and the building is older, and a bit depressing honestly. The charting is one of the very first charting systems invented, they use CPRS for charting and BCMA for medications. The IV pumps on the floors I'...

I applied for Women's Services as well! Anybody know the general timeline of hearing back, getting calls and interviews, etc? It seems like some places are really fast and others suuuuuuuuper slow.

I'm assuming you mean spring 2016, not 2015? Maybe that is throwing some people off. I just searched the harris health website and searched intern and it pulled up. It is job ID# 132717. Open from Sep1-Oct 9, start date of residency is Feb 8 2016. Go...

I got my references and transcript in literally an hour before the deadline. Whew! Now we all wait. From looking at the thread from last years cohort, they received emails about interviews and whatnot on September 25, so not too long from now! :)

I am applying for women's health. Still waiting on my online reference and official transcript (I wish they'd let us use unofficial and send official later!)
I am currently in my last semester, and I have been looking at some of the new grad applications. My question is this: if I am filling them out before I have actually graduated, but the position will start AFTER I do, do I answer the questions about ...

That is what I was thinking. So I think I will just answer yes to the questions and then at some point enter the future date of my graduation, as well as have it on my resume. Thanks!
Definitely take it online if you can! I'm a TWU student as well and most people I know stopped going to that class on campus because it was that unhelpful. I took it online and I'm glad I did because it's one less class to have to make time for that ...

Did anyone else receive the email recently filled with all the info about background checks, clinical sites, orientation date ect. ? On there it lists a website you go to to give them your clinical site preferences (you get to choose three), but they...

Yes, they are listed on the TWU website, as well as in the email they just sent out (I got it really late last night). http://www.twu.edu/downloads/student-health-services/demographic-nursing-denton.pdf

Does anyone attending/living in Dallas know whether or not using the DART would be doable? I am trying to look online at schedules but it's confusing me a bit. Mostly I'd just like to know if anyone else does it, if so which stop is the closest? Last...
