TWU Spring 2013 Applicants!

Published

Hello!:yeah:

I know it's pretty early to be starting this forum, but I just wanted to put my voice out there and see if there is anyone else out there hoping to join TWU's nursing program in the spring of 2013? What are you taking this semester (spring 2012), and when are you taking the TEAS-V entrance exam?

After this spring semester of taking microbiology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and statistics, I'll be ready to apply before the September 1st deadline! I'm hoping to take the entrance exam in the summer - probably June or July.

So yeah, I just wanted to see who else was out there!

@wen21 I'm almost certain I've been told I had to take the TEAS at at PSI center and if you you take it more than once they only consider the first score. But I've read so many things from so many schools that could have come from another school. You might want to send both just in case. I'm paranoid my application will be rejected because of a mistake on my end not because of inadequate qualifications. Good luck. You said you have talked to multiple people-were they advisors? I would think they would know for sure.

Thanks so much for the advice. I think I will do what you have suggested. I talked to the staff at Help Desk and they said it doesn't matter where you take it. I spoke to a staff in nursing dept and she told me it must be at PSI Center. I will just go ahead and send the two.

I applied today to the DALLAS location! My stats are not the best though :(...GPA is 3.64, 1 first attempt, and a 83 on my TEAS. No . 4 bump because I am 1 class short! GOODLUCK to everyone! I know we all worked hard and hopefully we will all get into the program!

I am not trying to be a jerk, just letting people know that many of their questions have already been answered in previous posts, if they would just read them. The PSI testing center and TEAS transcript question was answered back on page 15.

This is true, but many people that have quick questions do not have the time to go back and read through the 70 pages on this thread just to find one answer, especially if they haven't been following along the whole time. If you don't like that someone is asking a question that has already been posted on this thread, then simply don't answer them.

Thanks so much Ambrekai. The issue here is that the website states you must take one TEAS in one application period and I have taken two in one application period. I dont know whetther they will prefer PSI over 2 TEAS in one application period. Right now they dont have the 1st Teas. Am wondering if I should just send them the 1st score just to be on a safer side

OOOH I wasn't understanding that. If I were you I would send them both in, that way the admissions coordinator can decide on which one they're going to go with. :)

You have a point here. I think why we have this forum is to wish one another well and just talk about what we all have in common. Am so happy for the concern that you guys have for one another.

I never said that I have a problem with people asking questions. I was just pointing out that many of their questions have already been answered with something more insightful than the website says this but go ahead and call the advisor.

I took the TEAS earlier today and gooodnesss why do I have to wait 48 hours for my score!? How much time did you all wait?

I thought the English part of the test was okay; the math very similar to the study guide; but I feel I had a couple outlandish questions on the science...so I'm worried about that. I ran out of time on the math and forgot to answer a question I had marked. But there are a couple of questions per section that aren't graded???

So I don't know if those questions are the first few questions or randomly placed... hopefully they are the ones I missed!

nanerz13, as soon as I walked out of the room, the guy handed me a print out of how I did on each section.

actually, you dont have to wait 48 hours. Usually you will get your score after 30 hours. In my case, I took exam 1:30pm on tuesday. And i got my result on wednesday 7:00pm. So it doesnt take whole 48hours.
