I know it's pretty early to be starting this forum, but I just wanted to put my voice out there and see if there is anyone else out there hoping to join TWU's nursing program in the spring of 2013? What are you taking this semester (spring 2012), and when are you taking the TEAS-V entrance exam?
After this spring semester of taking microbiology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and statistics, I'll be ready to apply before the September 1st deadline! I'm hoping to take the entrance exam in the summer - probably June or July.
So yeah, I just wanted to see who else was out there!
Does anyone know whether TWU prefer TEAS taken at PSI center over the one not taken at PSI center. I took two TEAS Exam in the same application period, first one was not at PSI while second is at PSI center. Pls somebody advice me whether I should send the first score to them. Pls I need ur candid opinion cos am so confused.

According to their website, TWU will only take the TEAS score from the PSI center. I would still call them and ask that way you can get an exact answer. :)
As for everybody asking about the TEAS test I called and talked to three of the advisers yesterday and they told me that as long as it was the TEAS V (version 5) that it didn't matter where you took it. If you took it through ATI you will have to log into their website and order a transcript to be sent to TWU. Your TEAS transcript will not show up in the pioneer portal, if you want to check on the status you will have to call them to find out. I called ****** and she was able to tell me.
They were using PSI testing sites because they were supposed to be more secure in their testing procedures, but TWU has had some problems with the PSI centers.
Yay! Just got my results back ATI, 87 composite, 97 percentile....I hope this score will give me a better chance. :) Does anybody know how long it takes for the transcript to get posted on pioneer porta? I'm trying to make sure my application is complete but pioneer portal is so not helping.

I am not trying to be a jerk, just letting people know that many of their questions have already been answered in previous posts, if they would just read them. The PSI testing center and TEAS transcript question was answered back on page 15.

Thanks so much Ambrekai. The issue here is that the website states you must take one TEAS in one application period and I have taken two in one application period. I dont know whetther they will prefer PSI over 2 TEAS in one application period. Right now they dont have the 1st Teas. Am wondering if I should just send them the 1st score just to be on a safer side
Tpluta, if this is not a disturbing issue to me, I wld not ask it again. I have gotten different opinions from TWU staff and that is why I decided to throw it open so that y'all can help me out. I know that students know much and I trust you guys cos we are pursuing one goal. When I took the first one not at PSI, an adviser said it must be at PSI. I took the 2nd @ PSI, and they are now saying it must be one per application period. Can't you see am in a crossroad.
Wen21, I have only taken the teas once so I do not know if you can pick and chose which score to send. When I talked to them last she said that it didn't matter whether it was taken at a psi center. If I were in your shoes I would send both and let them decide. Or I would only send the first one, because the one test per application period is probably a set in stone type rule
@cpark I don't think you are borderline. You have great stats. Your grades are amazing! Now if you got a 69 like me I would worry! :uhoh3:You have to remember the TEAS is one test on one day, GPA is spread out over a period of time and is more indicative of your true performance. I'm not disqualifiying the TEAS because obviously it's considered but computers are not making these decisions. My sister was professor at a nursing school in Houston and told me they look at many factors when considering applicants, that it was not just about the numbers. Now her school had an interview (which I wish we had), but I digress. Good luck to you and everyone else!!!!! :redbeathe
@wen21 I'm almost certain I've been told I had to take the TEAS at at PSI center and if you you take it more than once they only consider the first score. But I've read so many things from so many schools that could have come from another school. You might want to send both just in case. I'm paranoid my application will be rejected because of a mistake on my end not because of inadequate qualifications. Good luck. You said you have talked to multiple people-were they advisors? I would think they would know for sure.
