  1. I am all for helping out fellow applicants, but every heads up and hint that you give out only gives those people who interview after you a better chance of getting in over you and every other person that interviewed on day one. That being said, I interviewed last year and will again this year. The social afterwards was really fun last year. The Baylor interview is several one on one interviews spaced throughout the day and they ask a good mix of personal and clinical questions. The UTHealth interview is a panel interview with like 5-7 different faculty members, can't remember how many were there. Baylors interview process lasts all day and is very warm and welcoming. The UTHealth interview only lasted about 30 minutes then an optional tour of their sim lab and then you are done.
  2. It looks like interview invitations are going out. I got an interview invite email today at 1557. Good luck to everybody and keep checking.
  3. got an email at 11am saying "Dear Nurse Anesthesia Applicants, Thank you for applying to the Nurse Anesthesia program. We are currently reviewing all applications for the 2017 year. After reviewing all applications, selected applicants will be invited in to interview. The interviews will take place on October 6-7, 2016. Again, only those applicants selected for an interview will be notified of a specific date and time through a separate communication. Kind regards," so hopefully we will start to hear more news in like 2 weeks
  4. I am turning down TWU Houston for UTHSC Houston because UTHSC-H is15 months instead of two years. I have not heard one program being any better than the other.
  5. I also got an acceptance e-mail today. I look forward to meeting everybody this December during orientation.
  6. I got into the Houston campus, but will probably be turning it down for UTMB. So keep your hopes up, there might be at least one more spot available.
  7. Thanks for all of the congratulations, I hope more people start receiving updated statuses with good news.
  8. No e-mail. I just checked mystar after somebody mentioned letters going out, and there was a green check at the bottom of the main page
  9. Check your mystar accounts, mine has the checkmark with accept or decline
  10. In general I don't have a problem with the wait, but I do not understand why some people get early admissions. Especially when their stats are on the lower end of average. To the point of UTMB interviewing every applicant, they may have done that in previous application periods but not this one. Only a few people on these boards have reported being called in for an interview.
  11. Petitea, there a bunch of us still waiting for acceptance letters.
  12. I got accepted to Cy-fair for the spring, but will be turning it down since I have received at least one BSN acceptance. So for any Cy-fair hopefuls, there is at least one more spot opening up.
  13. I have not had an interview
  14. I understand that, but why send out an e-mail on august 1st, or continuously tell applicants 2-3 weeks if know that nothing is going to be decided until almost November, based on previous experience. Sorry. Just frustrated and venting.
