TWU Spring 2013 Applicants!

Published

Hello!:yeah:

I know it's pretty early to be starting this forum, but I just wanted to put my voice out there and see if there is anyone else out there hoping to join TWU's nursing program in the spring of 2013? What are you taking this semester (spring 2012), and when are you taking the TEAS-V entrance exam?

After this spring semester of taking microbiology, chemistry, developmental psychology, and statistics, I'll be ready to apply before the September 1st deadline! I'm hoping to take the entrance exam in the summer - probably June or July.

So yeah, I just wanted to see who else was out there!

Okay ladies. My nerves are starting to get to me now. I have spent the past two hours reading posts from last year's applicants, looking at stats of those who got in/got rejected. I need to stop!!!!! :uhoh3:

HURRY UP NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol, I was doing the same thing but I had to make myself get off of here because I was driving myself mad by worrying! I've been trying to enjoy these last couple of weeks of summer before we start back at it and staying busy getting my kids ready to go back to school! I'm so ready to start Patho. I think by many of us being in the same class, we can stay occupied and make these couple of months go by faster!

Hi everyone,

I'll be taking Patho 4344 (Mondays 8:30-12:30) at TWU/Dallas Fall 2012. Applied for Spring 2013 admission to BSN. I went to a tour of the facility back in July. Its awesome. FYI: there is a senior student that offers free patho lecture tutorials. She basically will tell us everything we need to focus on and help clear up the fuzzy stuff :loveya:

Thank you @ambrekai for the forum.

Hey we will be in class together! I'm having the boat load of notes printed this week so I can get a jump start on the material. Got my TEAS V score back today and I was a bit disappointed. Made an 81.3. The transcript says I'm in the 92nd percentile for the program, but I really have no idea what any of that means. Keeping my fingers crossed...

Hello Dentonite,

I heard McArthur has notes, where did you find them?

she has already opened the course on Blackboard and they are under "Course Documents", there are also Evolve powerpoints that are available in the tool bar. Her class seems pretty straight forward. The only grades we have are 5 exams each with 100 questions worth 1 point each. She said in the announcement that all the questions come from the testbank that is made by the book publisher. e will be doing a WHOLE lot of reading! I know it's crazy, but I'm excited :)

Mhmm my boyfriend made me get off haha. And yes - I am keeping myself plenty busy for that exact purpose!

Lucky.....I wish our professor had opened the course on Blackboard already. I check almost everyday, just waiting until I get to see the syllabus and get a head start on everything...

Hi Liz, welcome to the forum! Is that senior girl just in the Dallas campus? And lucky y'all! Our professor for Denton hasn't set up anything, and I can't even find her old syllabi. Actually...I can't find anything on her anywhere on academic site. Oh well...

@Dentonite and @ L1zG I'm in class with y'all too for the fall patho class. Is it hard to set up a blackboard acct? Is it just your email? I haven't even looked at that yet because I am finishing up my summer classes tomorrow.

I figured out the Black board. Thanks girls for the tips on the notes for patho. Now it's time to study!
