TWU Houston Spring 2015 Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi - I am applying to TWU Houston Campus for Spring 2015 and I wanted to see any other 2015 TWU hopefuls out there!

I will be taking Microbiology this summer so that I can have my core courses completed by Sept. 1st. As of right now I have first-try A's in AP I and II as well as Statistics... Just need to get my Micro completed and out of the way. I am a very nervous because I was not as focused on school as I should have been when I was younger. My cumulative GPA is only 3.4. Ugh! My prereq GPA is 3.8.

Also, I took the dreaded TEAS V test this week and my score was not as high as I would have liked but I passed! 77%. Anyone else take their TEAS yet? How did you do?

Under which link are you seeing what you are still missing? I can't seem to find it on mine!

I honestly am too, it's all I can think about!! Has anyone noticed how nice and friendly the employees working admissions are? They're always so patient and seemingly in a good mood, which makes me want to go there even more!

They are extremely nice! It is such a change from the other schools I'm dealing with. Where did you take your prereqs?

I completely agree with you, I've found others not quite as nice! I did mine at the University of Houston :) How about you?

I took mine at WCJC. I had some awesome professors, but their administration was.....lacking....

That's what I asked the woman I spoke to yesterday, if she could just send the scores to them anyways since they hadn't received them. She said it wouldn't make sense to pay to have them sent if they could retrieve them online through ATI, which in my opinion doesn't make a lot of sense either since they were supposed to have actually sent them in the first place to the school you signed up to take the exam through! Maybe I'm the confused one...

Make sure you get that sorted before the 1st no exceptions! Have them send them, and do not rake no for an answer. I'd rather you send and extra $30 than risk your application being thrown out. Goodluck to you

Omg Monday is just around the corner!!! If anyone has any questions to see if they have your teas scores and application, you should call 1866 809 6130 and ask to be transferred to the nursing dept. You just tell them your name and it is very simple to check. Good news they have my scores. If they don't have your scores or application both can be fixed online. Good luck to everyone again.

A woman in the admissions office told me we just needed to have taken the exam before the 1st of September, you can send your scores after the deadline :) However they've received mine as of yesterday so now it's just a waiting game! Luckily also because ATI messed up sending my scores to the wrong school, they didn't make me pay (thank goodness).

I can't believe the deadline was yesterday! We are that much closer to finding out if we got in!!! Good luck, guys!

I am sooooo excited!!! TWU is my top choice. Every point of contact has been so welcoming. The advisers really seem to care and are super nice. I pray we all get accepted and start our journey together. I can't wait for January to come. Just 4 months away. :)

Hi! I'm also applying to TWU Houston for Spring 2015. I've also applied to SHSU. My TEAS score was an 89% and my overall GPA is a 3.88. Not sure what my prerequisite GPA is. Best of luck to all!!

Hey guys I applied for TWU houston spring 2015 too! I'm actually from the Dallas area but the adviser said I was much more competitive at Houston so if I get in it will be a big move for me! I applied with a 3.7 overall GPA, first attempt A's in all my sciences, and a 85% on my teas score. I'm confident with those scores as she said the Houston campus take a 3.4 to 3.7 GPA range. I am also currently taking pathophysiology at the Dallas campus to get that out of the way. Good luck to us all! Can't wait for these acceptance letters to roll out already (:

I also applied for the spring semester! I can't believe the deadline is past and there's nothing else we can do..but WAIT. I got an 80 on my teas and I have a 3.7 Gpa so hopefully that will be enough. I retook my A&p classes to get A's so I only have 2 out of 4 first attempts. Good luck to everyone!
