TWU Houston Spring 2015 Applicants

Hi - I am applying to TWU Houston Campus for Spring 2015 and I wanted to see any other 2015 TWU hopefuls out there!

I will be taking Microbiology this summer so that I can have my core courses completed by Sept. 1st. As of right now I have first-try A's in AP I and II as well as Statistics... Just need to get my Micro completed and out of the way. I am a very nervous because I was not as focused on school as I should have been when I was younger. My cumulative GPA is only 3.4. Ugh! My prereq GPA is 3.8.

Also, I took the dreaded TEAS V test this week and my score was not as high as I would have liked but I passed! 77%. Anyone else take their TEAS yet? How did you do?

I am taking it in the Fall at the Dallas campus. It is not considered nursing its under bio- so yes you can take it!

How difficult is it to get into TWU when compared to UTMB?

Does anyone know if the teas score gets automatically sent to the school? If not how so I go by sending the score? Please help!!!

I read online from the website, just now after looking forever, that the scores get automatically sent to the program that the test was taken under.

No it does not go to ATI's website and pay 27.00 dollars and add TWU as the school of choice!

Quick question about TWU getting our TEAS scores- I talked to TWU nursing admissions and they told me they hadn't received my testing scores (Took the exam July 23rd), and was told to call ATI to request for them to send the scores to their office. I then called ATI and was told that they don't need to be sent as TWU already has access to my scores (online I suppose) because I signed up to take the exam specifically for TWU. Can anyone clear up how this works? Thanks y'all!

When you take the exam you are given one school of choice for your scores to be sent. If you decide to send your scores to any other institution then you add the schools and pay $27 per transcript.

Oh yes I know this! Which is why it doesn't make sense that they haven't received them and why ATI was telling me they weren't sent but that admissions "had online access to them." I will call ATI and the admissions office again Monday to get it sorted out and let you guys know. I figure the woman I spoke to at ATI may have been confused Quite frankly, after spending $300+ on applications, transcripts, and entrance exams I'd really prefer not to spend another $27 to get the scores sent to them.

That's what I asked the woman I spoke to yesterday, if she could just send the scores to them anyways since they hadn't received them. She said it wouldn't make sense to pay to have them sent if they could retrieve them online through ATI, which in my opinion doesn't make a lot of sense either since they were supposed to have actually sent them in the first place to the school you signed up to take the exam through! Maybe I'm the confused one...
