I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.
I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.
I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!
(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)
how many of you have not got your drug test done? i still havent and when i called all they tell me is my name is in a pool and i will be called by the 4th.. however theres only like 6 days left..anddd its my time of the month..lol, crap i dont wanna get called this week..
oh and the CIF i got it as well, i kept getting and and i checked online and the lady in houston needed me to bring in verification forms.. and i gave them to her like 2 weeks ago, but nothing is posted yet.
ruchita33 I went already and took my drug test and I was on my time of the month also. I asked her if this will effect the results and she said no. So don't worry. You will do just fine.
hello ladies. how are yall doing preparing for school. i see the discussion on shots and drug tests.. anything else happening? when is the orientation? mine is the saturday after the first week of classes? WIERD HUH?? did the ones looking for apts find them yet?
Well I want to but the scrubs somewhere else and just get the patch but I kind of want to see what designs they have so I don't go out side TWU's guidelines. My mom told me that she is going to pay for my scrubs. She said it is my gift for making it into nursing school. I thought that was very thoughtful of her because she really never was into my schoolwork and goals.
Yeah I was gonna wait till the 8th to see what they look like. I should be able to find someone to sew it on for me. My dad really wants me to stick with this so he is being supportive too this time around
wow you and I are in the same boat in regards to support from our families. At least my husband and kids are supporting me. They are what gives me strength to go all the way.
Yeah my dad just wants me to actually use this degree since I really don't use my other one. My bf has been very supportive and my biggest cheerleader. We plan on getting married after school since I didn't want to be newlyweds and barely around studying. I hope these 2 yrs go by fast so we can start working. It will be great to go to a two income house
Oh I know what you mean. I am very fortunate that I have my husband and his income. Besides it is really great to at least have someone so close you support you in what you do. That is really what helps a lot on achieving your goals in life. Honestly you just don't feel alone. You have someone to turn to when you hit a bad part in your studies.
