I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.
I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.
I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!
(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)
Well maybe you can set a schedule to when you guys could spend sometime. You see, my husband and kids were the same way with me. What I had to do was when they are up I would spend quality time with them. Then when they go to sleep I stayed up and studied and did what I had to do for school. I study better when it is quite anyways. However, if I was in a subject that was pretty hard, I would explain to them that I really need to buckle down and study. Then set another time to spend with them.
hey everyone! only 2 more weeks to go!
so for those that already got their drug testing done, did you ever receive the results in the mail? b/c when i went they said it will be mailed to me and twu within a week or something like that. Its been a couple of weeks and i haven't received anything.
hey guys....is every really anxious like i am for the orientation??? i can't wait. I was wondering if anyone knew if we had to pay for our summer classes imediately at orientation....or will they give us some time. also do ya'll think they have limited spaces for those classes? does anyone know how many people got accepted into the bsn program for the fall?
My understanding that 80 are supposedly to have gotten in from when I attended an Open House. Now many they actually accepted I have no clue. YES, I am very anxious to go to the orientation next week. I have been waiting for that day for a while now. As for the summer classes, I have been talking with the financial aid people and they said that you would not receive any financial aid if you are taking less than 6 hours during the summer. I am not sure if they are requiring you to pay the summer class up front or you can make payments; but I do believe they said that only 30 students are able to attend the Pathophysiology class this summer. I figure that I am going to pay with a credit card and when I do get my financial aid in August, I am going to pay off my credit card. OR you can just go to like Wells Fargo and get a loan that way to pay for your class and books. Either way there are ways around so you can take it. I know definitely I will be.
Princess you are correct I do recall reading that online that Summer class are paid up front.
R22sa, no there is no way you can reserve your seat. You just have to wait to register at the orientation. That is why I plan to be there early to hope to get a spot in Patho. this summer. If anyone gets there before me, please sign me up with you. I really want to take this class. LOL...

I just don't know how I'm going to juggle him and school. I'm trying to get him use to the idea of me not being around a lot
