I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.
I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.
I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!
(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)
I was having the same problem Princess. I filled out my CIF like a month ago and they keep sending me letters saying that I haven't and that my FAFSA is wrong. When I called FAFSA they told me everything was completely properly and so I don't know what the deal is with TWU finanical aid. When I call the office they can't tell me **** about what's wrong with my file.
Trueblondy and Princess I am going through the samething with TWU's financial aid people. I keep getting a letter saying that I need to fill out my CIF form. I completed three of these forms online and I am still getting them. Then I go to Portal and you can see what are your outstanding forms required and they still show that I need the CIF form. BUT you can see that I have completed tjhis form three times including the dates that they where completed. So I just throw the letters away because they got all of the forms. I think it is a computer glitch really. Oh and then I keep getting invitations to join TWU's Portal convention and their new transfer student convention. I called the Houston office and they said that is for the Denton location and that I must be in the Denton and Houston files. It appears they have too much that they can handle. I feel bad for them.
Well everyone I got my results back from my titer and its negative. I've never had the chickenpox before. And everyone lept telling me I had it as a baby. Now I have to get the vaccine but I just need to get started by the time school starts
The two shots are pretty expensive!!! I just don't lnow where the money will come from. I will just have to buy the patch on the 8th can't afford anything else

I already filled that out weeks ago online. I don't know how to check my corresponding status. I might have to check out that website for their loans
