TWU Fast Track Summer '09

Is anyone out there applying for the fast track program starting in the summer for the Dallas campus? I am applying. Will have my pre-reqs completed in January. I am very stressed about them only accepting 30 students!!! Does anyone have any thoughts, concerns, anything??!? I think I am going crazy waiting for April to come to know if I got in or not! :bugeyes:

Well, WHOOP for the lady partsl gel! HA HA HA HA!

I applied for summer entry, and I guess, fall entry by default. And TWU is the only school to which I applied. I live just south of the metroplex, and I have a husband (with a job in Irving) and two kids who are at a fantastic school. It's just not feasible for me to move somewhere else for nursing school or to go to TCU or Baylor (too $$$) or to UTA (rude and unfriendly, in my experience). So, this is it for me. If not TWU, I'll have to go to Plan B.

Aggie, you are too funny!!! AND I can totally relate to the whole $$$ at TCU and Baylor. I didn't look at UTA, but I will definitely take your word for it. I completely understand about staying close for the hubby and the kiddo's school.

ive missed a lot on this forum. ive been sleep lol. okay first off SOPHIA your net score is NOT BADD stopp beating yourself up about it. aggie you will be fine. as a matter of fact allll of you sound great to me. like i said im not applying for fast track but im here to support all of you because i know how hard it is to be waiting!!! from what ive been reading all of you have a good faith and thats all that matters. and yes baylor is wayyy expensive but i went and applied there too. i wouldnt apply to UTA no offense to some who did, i just couldnt get a feel for it..but TCU i would have loved to apply to but i didnt want to take the HESI again because i already took it somewhere and they didnt require to take the science portion and TCU wanted that lol juusssst a little FYI. hopefully you will get your letters at least by the end of next week. so everyone could be calm. :)

Well everyone TWU just said they finished processing all the applications for fast track so I think yall will get letters no later by next week!!!

WHAT! I called today and they said AFTER spring break. I wish they would give a damn straight answer. They're toying with all of our emotions! Sophia- I didn't get an email either. I check that damn account 15 times a day! I went shopping for a few hours and missed 2 pages on this forum! Good convo though:) Hahaa! Good luck everyone! The mail man is going to think I'm stalking him waiting by our mail box...haha.

HA! Oddly enough, Plan B WON'T be my Plan B. If I don't get into nursing school, we're going to consider having another baby and me just staying home a couple more years.

See? That's what I'm saying. A straight answer is just not too much to ask for here. It's just more games, and I'm convinced that we're all going to need to learn to play the game if we are to survive nursing school. Or even survive APPLYING to nursing school!

Girls...or boys.. i've check the TWU website... according to their calendar, the spring break begins March 16th 2009 to March 22nd 2009 (Dinning hall closes on March 13rd 2009). That means if they don't mail out the letters this week, they will mail them out after the spring break.

By the way... i understand exactly how you feel about not liking your job Fanshawe... I'm working as a "formulation scientist I" (that's the horrible title they gave me) at a pharmaceutical company. For the past 8 months, I have been working this lady partsl gel. Yes... lady partsl gel every day... for 8 moths. Although i have never been so fasinated about that certain part of the female anatomy, i can't help hating my job that i wish I can shoot myself at work. Oh... sweet Jesus...please let us all get in...

yes, that's exactly how i feel about my job. i spend the better part of every day i'm there fantasizing about throwing my computer through the window so i can jump out (i'm kidding of course, but just barely).

anyway, it sounds like we'll know sometime around spring break, maybe during or slightly after, which is better than "end-of-march," i guess. it sounds like there's lots of competitive people here...

AggieNurse2B if you don't get in fast track for some reason I know you will be a shoe in for the fall. I was so made when I saw that 79 as my score. One more point then I could have gotten a 80. But at least we did better on the reading than most!!!!

the first time i took a net i made a 79 on the net it was the computer version. this time on paper i made a 76. i was like..dannng can i NOT get an 80 or something. but the math i made an 89 on the computer and a 87 on the paper. im like ook.. yall are messing with me right.

When you guys call to ask about the time frame for acceptance letters, who do you talk to? I'm wondering if you're speaking with the nursing school advisors or the admissions department.
