TWU Fast Track Summer '09

Is anyone out there applying for the fast track program starting in the summer for the Dallas campus? I am applying. Will have my pre-reqs completed in January. I am very stressed about them only accepting 30 students!!! Does anyone have any thoughts, concerns, anything??!? I think I am going crazy waiting for April to come to know if I got in or not! :bugeyes:

Well everyone TWU just said they finished processing all the applications for fast track so I think yall will get letters no later by next week!!!

It might be later this week or early next week. I can't imagine that they're working next week during Spring Break. Seems to me that a straight freakin' answer is not too much to ask from them! You know, something like, "We've finished processing fast track applications and expect to mail letters no later than March __."

Pay no mind to me...It's the stress talkin'! :wink2:

Pardon my ignorance here! But how do you get a 3.98 GPA? Is it a 3.58 with a .4 bump? Just wondering how on earth you managed to miss the 4.0.

And, for the record, I think your scores will be just fine for summer. Praying to GOD I'll be joining you!

That's good to hear, because I do have a 79 on the NET. Unfortunately, I just missed the 4.0 GPA. My stats might get me into fall, but I highly doubt they'll get me into the summer program. Who would have ever thought that a 3.98 wouldn't be good enough?...lol Breathe.....just breathe....lol

Yes, that's exactly what it is. I feel like I more than earned that freakin' bump too. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a M.Ed. at a different university, then, I came here and TWU kicked my butt (both academically and financially)! The whole reason I went to TWU was for the bump. It still stinks that I didn't quite make it. Really though, I don't have complete confidence that they would pick my (real) 3.58 over a (true) 4.0 from someone else from another college. I mean you could never really know for sure. What are your stats Aggie? I know we've got some tough competition. I went to class with several > 4.0. Did you apply for summer and/or fall?

I just couldn't get the math to come out right on that one! (Hey, I had to do SOMETHING to keep my mind occupied.)

79 NET Reading, 3.85 GPA. Pre-reqs at a community college and TAMU (WHOOP!!!). Hanging on with a prayer.

I will be happy to get summer OR fall. I just want in... and I didn't apply anywhere else.

By the way... i understand exactly how you feel about not liking your job Fanshawe... I'm working as a "formulation scientist I" (that's the horrible title they gave me) at a pharmaceutical company. For the past 8 months, I have been working this lady partsl gel. Yes... lady partsl gel every day... for 8 moths. Although i have never been so fasinated about that certain part of the female anatomy, i can't help hating my job that i wish I can shoot myself at work. Oh... sweet Jesus...please let us all get in...

Well, WHOOP for the lady partsl gel! HA HA HA HA!

I applied for summer entry, and I guess, fall entry by default. And TWU is the only school to which I applied. I live just south of the metroplex, and I have a husband (with a job in Irving) and two kids who are at a fantastic school. It's just not feasible for me to move somewhere else for nursing school or to go to TCU or Baylor (too $$$) or to UTA (rude and unfriendly, in my experience). So, this is it for me. If not TWU, I'll have to go to Plan B.

Wish I had a CLUE what Plan B is!
