TWU Fast Track Summer '09

Is anyone out there applying for the fast track program starting in the summer for the Dallas campus? I am applying. Will have my pre-reqs completed in January. I am very stressed about them only accepting 30 students!!! Does anyone have any thoughts, concerns, anything??!? I think I am going crazy waiting for April to come to know if I got in or not! :bugeyes:

gotcha. i just did it online. we'll see. i am independent of my parents and am getting married in may. is efc supposed to be low? mine was like 20k. have you guys read about the us department of health and human services scholarship? they will pay for your school if you agree to work at a certain location for 2 years after you graduate. check it out. http://bhpr.hrsa.gov/nursing/scholarship/

its so funny how you mentioned that. i have been reading about that all day. i remembered it last year and i didnt qualify for it. basically . i say that because i wasnt in the first funding preference but now i am. and yes its truly legit. you should be fine with your fafsa if you are independent. what qualification do you qualify to be independent, you know either being 24, or have kids blah blah. sorry im a little nosey. i only qualified because i had my son. if i didnt have him i would S T I L L have to use my parents return, and N O i didnt just have son for fafsa purposes :)

well i'm an independent because my parents don't support me at all. i haven't lived with them or received money from them since i was 18! no kiddos though. they haven't claimed me on their taxes since i got my BA and started working a full time "real" job.

oh yeah i forgot you said you already had a BA. so you automatically qualify for an independent student. is this the only school you applied to.

Well, you're the ONLY one who didn't apply because everyone and their mama seems to have applied to the program this semester! :D

The anticipation is killing me, too! I check my TWU e-mail at least once daily, although I don't expect a response before the middle of the month. And every time I do, my heart seems to sink into my stomach a little. But I'm trying to keep myself occupied and not worry about things I cannot control. :p

i know everybody in this forum is DYING!!! i am too. i applied to the regular program. but i like to give everybody support. are yall supposed to get notification middle march or middle april? we heard april.

I think they originally said it would be the first week in March, but they revised that (according to one of the posters here) and said it would be mid-March instead, no doubt because of the huge influx of applications they received.

i called today, they're now shooting to have everything mailed by mid march. ughhh just make up your minds and put the envelopes in the mail!
