TWU Fast Track Summer '09

Is anyone out there applying for the fast track program starting in the summer for the Dallas campus? I am applying. Will have my pre-reqs completed in January. I am very stressed about them only accepting 30 students!!! Does anyone have any thoughts, concerns, anything??!? I think I am going crazy waiting for April to come to know if I got in or not!

I was thinking sometime this month too. We have to keep in mind that processing application is not the part which requires the longest time; plenty of others take longer time (e.g background check, processing immunization record....etc). Hopefully we will know something soon. :)

That's weird, I called yesterday to change my address, and they told me letters should be mailed out by March 1st. We'll see! Good luck to everyone!

nope, nothing yet. i'm crossing my fingers for a letter -- good or bad -- to come next week. at this point, i just want to know...i think being rejected would be easier to handle than waiting...i'm not very good at waiting.

on another note. has anybody started their hep b shots? i'm scheduled for my last one on may 29th. i figure even if i never get into nursing school, at least i've got that hep b thing taken care of...

Fanshawe... thank you so much for replying. Right now reading postings on this website is better than sitting around and doing nothing. This website is almost like a group therapy. :)

I will have my last shot in May as well. Hope we all get in.... can't wait to meet you guys. :)

agreed, it really is like group therapy. it's like, my friends and family don't really get it when i tell them how stressful this whole process is (how could they, right?), so it's nice to commiserate with people who share my particular shade of neurosis.:nuke:

while we're all twiddling our thumbs...since we're all fast-track applicants, i assume we all have degrees in something other than nursing. what are yours? it's always interesting to hear where people are coming from when they switch gears.

i have a BBA in finance and an MA in journalism.

BA in biology! This is group therapy..I check it constantly to see if anyone got their letters yet! I decided I'm going to call in sick to the current job the day after I get the letter- good or bad! My family doesn't really understand either, they just tell me they see dumb nurses all the time. Thanks y'all....haha. They don't understand they only take 30!
