Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?
I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.
Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!
I have been doing mine at the Health Department. It was cheaper than paying for a co-payment everytime I went to see my doctor. Since my mother lost my shot record, I had to start from square one, so it was going to be quite expensive. They (health department) gave me a hard time at first, but once I told them I was trying to get into nursing school, they became very helpfull.10.00 a shot
HEP 20.00(I think).
Do you have the number to the Health Department or the address? Thanks in advance!
I am getting TDP, varicella, and hep b. I had chicken pox, but I don't know how to go about getting a titer, and I'm assuming Walgreens probably doesn't do that. I'm going tomorrow to ask about all of it, and I'll let y'all know what they say.
Then I'm going to a county clinic for a TB test probably next week.
All this running around is a bit frustrating.
I'm going to Walgreens. According to their main website, there is a location near me that does them. I haven't checked costs yet though. Do y'all know if we can submit a letter saying we had chicken pox? The main immunization page for TWU says we can...
Yes, there is a picture. I think I managed to delete the first group by leaving it. I have no idea how two groups were created, but oh well. The picture is from the TWU website's main Houston page. It has part of a building with the TWU seal and says "TWU Houston Center" on it.

Yeah, I'm a bit anxious too about the hep B series. Walgreens does provide it, only some, not all. You can go to Walgreens.com put your zip code and select "Immunizations" and it will pull up who does them. Also, the take care clinics at select walgreens do them too. Their prices are on line.
Any who, so can we provide our high school transcript/record of our immunizations? I can't find my records and I was just thinking that my high school should have it. Does anyone know how much a titer is for MMR and Varicella? Who's all done with their Immu's?
