TWU Fall 2010

U.S.A. Texas

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?

I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

Hi I want it Bad!

I am also going to apply for TWU Fall 2010! I was accepted into UTAs nursing program for the spring and I decided to decline my acceptance and apply at TWU. My neighbor graduated from the nursing program at TWU in May and she loved it! I missed the application date to apply for the spring at TWU...so I decided to try for the Fall!

I have taken the Hesi but it was for UTA and they do not require the Science sections, so I will be taking the hesi again. I am going to apply for both campuses Houston & Dallas.

I am applying for Fall 2010 in Houston. I wanted to fast-track program, but of course, they got rid of it on the Houston Campus. I'll also put Dallas as a backup, but from what I hear, Dallas is more competitive.

I just took the HESI this evening and made a 97. My GPA is 3.83. Hopefully both are good enough....TWU is the only school I applied to...:chair:

Good luck to everyone!

Congrats TXcatcher on the Hesi, looking at other HESI scores and GPA from last semester I pretty sure that will get you in. What did you do to prepare for the HESI if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks! I sure hope it does. All of my eggs are in the one basket...

I just used the Evolve study guide for math, vocab, and grammar. I worked out a few math problems and read over the grammar section to see if there were any rules that I needed to review. Then I skimmed the vocab section. Most of the words seemed pretty straightforward to me. I read a lot (mostly nonfiction), so I think that helped me on the reading & vocab sections because I almost always come across words I've never heard before and have to look them up or use context clues. I had also just completed A&P II and chem within the past couple weeks, so a lot was still fresh in my head. For A&P, I did skim through a Cliff's Notes book as a quick refresher, and then used my textbook to study mitosis/meiosis, parts of the brain, and hormones because I saw people post they were on the exam and/or I missed them in the practice quiz in the study book. I'm also a good test taker, especially when there are multiple choice questions.
