Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?
I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.
I posted in another thread but this one seems fairly newer so maybe more people will come on here.
TXcatcher has the best HESI score I've heard of. (congrats!! I hope I get to join you at TWU in the Fall! lol)
I took the test in August (my loophole to the "only once per application period" rule) and got an 84%.
I just retook the test Jan 3 and got an 88%. Not that much better but hey, it's four points.
I'm sorry to the OP about your score. So a 74.8, they won't consider you because it's under the minimum requirement?
I'm concerned because a friend of mine took it and got a 74 but I didn't hear from her I heard from someone else. I can't imagine how it must feel to barely miss it, I'd go crazy. I'm already going crazy because I'm afraid that my score isn't good enough!!
Does anyone know if TWU accepts electronic transcripts?
Because I know UTMB it's required (if your transferring school is part of the electronic speed system) and UT Houston it's "preferred", so when I was at my school requesting transcripts I had them all sent electronically, including TWU.
Except my UTLINK for UT Houston has already updated my GPAs and transcripts, but on my Pioneer Portal for TWU it hasn't been updated yet. Do they accept the electronic transcripts or should I just hurry and mail them a hard copy? Or are they just slow about updating our transcripts on Pioneer Portal?
Glad to see the post for Fall 2010 is up and running. I was curious if you have finished all the nursing prerequisites? I have talked with the receptionist at TWU and she told me I couldn't apply till all classes were completed. Has anyone heard different?

I've finished everything but my second Government class.. It's not that you can't apply until all your prerequisites are finished - you can't apply until all your science prerequisites are finished. You need to be done with Nutrition, Micro, A&P1&2, and Chemistry. And I think also Lifespan Development, but I'm not sure. But all classes must be completed by the start of the program. For instance, I applied for Fall 2010, even though I'm taking one last class (govt) in Spring 2010, but that class will be long over with by the time the actual Fall 2010 term starts.
Don't blame the receptionist, she probably got confused or maybe she thought you would know that she meant the science prerequisites. But you can be finishing up some classes when you apply, it's just that there are some that need to be finished before the application deadline, if not you have to wait until the next application period.
Is this thread for Dallas or Houston, or both? I am applying to Dallas for Fall admission and I am really excited. I just took my HESI yesterday and made a 93!!! My GPA is 3.93 with the point jump, so I am pretty confident about my chances of getting in. Good luck to all!
I think it's for both. The TWU threads are generally for both at least that's how the Spring 2010 was.
Is anyone else bothered that the TWU website is down? lol I wanted to check if they had updated my grades yet from the transcripts I sent but it keeps saying "Server not found". Oh well, I'll try later.
YES! I am totally annoyed considering I have some financial aid issues going on and I am trying to take Patho this semester. Hopefully it will be up and running at some point today....
