Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?
I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.
That's what I thought. I'm not going to purchase anything right now. I'm sure the prices with them are going to be much higher. If they're not strict about it, I'm probably gonna buy the scrubs from that website aviatorscrubs. I don't see why we couldn't. I think you have the option to get them engraved also.
I signed up to take my drug test, But I have not heard anything back. Are any of you having any luck?
Natanat- They never offered to take my titers or I am sure I would have. Actually, after I get my TB test read today , my shot record will be complete. Yippy!
Oh yeah, the scrub pants I ordered from Avaiator Scrubs are awesome! They have 14 pockets, soft material, adjustable waist band, and they came with a free pair of scissors. The cost was only 25.00.

hey everyone! congrats on getting accepted! i'm currently a j1 and to answer your question about taking pharm and/or patho during the summer is...yes and no. you can take patho in the summer but not pharm. and trust me, you'll want to devote your time exclusively to patho b/c its a tough course even in the regular semester....and so is pharm. you should be able to register for patho when they open up registration. however, to be sure, i'd call the school to verify. good luck and see you all in the fall!
I received an e-mail today saying that my Drug Test is scheduled for tomorrow (Monday) anytime between 8 and 4 or 4:30 (I forgot)... I get that it has to be kind of RANDOM but that's a little too short notice! But thankfully I'll be able to go, I don't have anything that I can't get out of.
This is a little late but how was happy hour? I couldn't make it out.
BTW, I think in the TWU Spring 2010 thread said that you can buy a TWU badge for 1.99 and sew it on your scrubs if you choose to buy them elsewhere.
Hi bender83, happy hour was cool. Just a few of us showed. I plan to set up another one before school begins in August. Hopefully you can make that one!

I was hoping to get my packet today, but nothing yet . I feel like I'm behind because most of you have your shots, background check, and drug test almost done. Is it a big packet?
I see that most of y'all got together. I didn't find "allnurses" until just recently. So, I will definitely meet up with y'all next time there's a get together!
I am a bit overwhelmed with scholarship stuff. I've been searching for two hours and keeping a list of the ones I found. One website (http://www.discovernursing.com) has a 23 page list of them. I only found about ten that I think I'm qualified for because most of them are hospital/field/state/ethnicity/etc specific. Many, of course, have GPA requirements, which is hard for me because I've attended so many schools and have lots of GPAs...some of which I do not want to share with scholarship committees. Most require essays. I'll need to get on the writing wagon soon. It also gave me the idea to look up any trait I have to find a scholarship. I like cookies...is there a scholarship for that?
I also finally got my FAFSA done. Hopefully some financial aid will start to come my way! Now I've just got to call about my immunizations and take care of the background check and drug test.
Moving and getting sick have put me way behind! Maybe I can catch up by the end of the week! I cannot wait for May 7!
