TWU Fall 2010

Published

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?

I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

This semester went by very fast! I hope it is like this for the rest of them. Lunch sounds very good...

I didn't get much studying done tonight. I have historically not done well on concepts exams....I sure hope this one is different!

Bring on the margaritas tomorrow!!

Greetings all you Veterans! Congratulations on the end of a Semester and Good Luck moving forward. Quick question: Is the uniform for clinical White tops and Maroon/Wine bottoms? A bit of a confusion after advisement. Thanks

White tops and Wine bottoms OR Wine tops and Wine bottoms

White tops and Wine bottoms OR Wine tops and Wine bottoms

Thanks dsilverbear! Hey by any chance are you the upcoming Prez of TNSA? :)

Interesting. The handbook says "Uniform: The official undergraduate nursing student uniform is maroon or wine

colored pants (or skirt) with a white or maroon colored top (or white dress) with the triangular Texas Woman's University College of Nursing patch on the left sleeve."

But I could have sworn the orientation handout only mentioned white for tops. Hmmmmm... smh.

I see your frustration. The official uniform is what you see in the Handbook. The pants are wine or maroon(not all scrub companies carry both colors) and a white, wine, or maroon top. My clinical instructor required us to wear a white top due to the fact that the PCAs at the hospital wear maroon/wine tops. She didn't want us to be mistaken for a PCA.

In the end, I ended up with with with a white, wine, and maroon colored top:lol2:.

FYI, if you are looking to get a wine/maroon top, make sure you buy the pants in the same style with the same company. If not, you might end up with different colors and different fabric contents. Make sure you pay attention to the fabric.

Hope this helps :D

OK, thanks. That makes sense. Appreciate your help.

Hey guys! Silly question...do we need to take another HIPPA online course/test for Spring 2011 or does the one we took Fall 2010 count? The directions on our prof's requirements form reads "only needs to be done once/year" but I wasn't sure if that meant once/calendar year or once/academic year?
