Hi everyone! I am hoping to get a thread started for future Texas Woman’s University nursing students. I have been finishing up my pre requisites and planning to apply for fall nights and weekends. I would love to hear from other potential nursing students hoping to get into the TWU fall 2023 cohort.

My TEAS score is the only thing low in my application ?
That's not rly a question for us to know since we don't know anyone's stats unless they share them. I know 4 people(co workers) from previous cycles that have been accepted and 83 was the lowest of the 4. She was a transfer and had a 3.8 science GPA. That was last cycle. It also depends on the group of people applying so what I said doesn't rly hold much weight since it can change every cycle. They take into a count more than the TEAS so don't lose hope! As long as it's above the required score, you're eligible to be considered ?

Something similar happened to me except it was on the general portion of the application. I accidentally didn't select a gender for the "father" section and it showed up as "DECLINED TO STATE". rip

By March, within a few weeks. They're already going through applications for missing documents and determining eligibility etc. yes they should go to your TWU email or email you used for nursingCAS
Hello! I submitted my application, and wanted honest opinions from y'all.
do you think I have a competitive application?
stats:
TEAS composite score- 95%
Overall GPA: 3.45
science GPA: 3.31
im currently retaking Microbiology and that should boost my science GPA to a 3.56 but unfortunately it won't count for this application.
do y'all think my TEAS would in a way compensate for my low gpas ?
I honestly don't know.I was told an 87 TEAS was competitive. The average GPA that was admitted was a 3.57 for prerequisites. Your TEAS is great but GPA is sort of short. I think it just depends on the this cycle of applicants. I have a 3.6 GPA and made a 90 on the TEAS. I have reservations about whether I will get into the program. My plan right now is to retake my statistics class during the May semester to bring up my prerequisite GPA. It's hard to tell when you don't know what you're competing against.
Maybe the spreadsheet can help cause when I contacted twu advising department for an appointment before applying to the program, even though they said they could not do any advising appointment for anything but 2023 registration, they asked me if I want a spreadsheet for my overall score, so I think they are still using it, just add a section for experience. So you can put your score into the spreadsheet to see the admission score, for dallas campus it was 50-60 to be competitive in the past, I do not know how it is right now, but worth a try.

I think I have seen 83/84 in older threads on allnurses. It really depends on the applicant pool.
