TWU fall 2023 applicants

Hi everyone! I am hoping to get a thread started for future Texas Woman’s University nursing students. I have been finishing up my pre requisites and planning to apply for fall nights and weekends. I would love to hear from other potential nursing students hoping to get into the TWU fall 2023 cohort.

I was accepted to the Houston campus and received an e-mail about orientation. At the bottom of that email it had 2 zoom meeting sessions April 25 or April 26.

I'm in the Houston location. It was from a (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and said

Dear Incoming J1 Nursing Student,

 

Congratulations and welcome to Texas Woman's University College of Nursing Houston campus! We are so excited that you have decided to commence your nursing journey with us. We look forward to you joining us for the mandatory TWU College of Nursing Houston Campus New Student Orientation on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 8:45 AM - 4:30 PM. Orientation will occur at Texas Woman's University Institute of Health Sciences - Houston Center 6700 Fannin Street Houston, TX 77030 Lecture Hall 2120 (2nd floor). Please ensure that you bring your laptop and computer charger with you. Lunch will be provided.

 

Also, please plan to join one of the clinical onboarding requirements and advising sessions listed below to learn about compliance requirements and advising updates from your Houston CON Advisor, (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). During the orientation, you will learn about the clinical onboarding process and deadlines for compliance as we prepare for the fall semester. You will also be able to ask questions about immunizations and other compliance-related items and questions for advising.

I originally accepted my TWU offer but I was notified that I got into a different school so within the next few days I'll email someone from TWU to notify them that I decline. I'm glad this happened before orientation and I'm happy that someone else will get admitted in place of me. My spot is for the Houston traditional program. Good luck!

Anyone here that was accepted for the Fall 2023 Dallas Evening/Weekend program would like to share their stats? Impatiently waiting to hear back for Fall 2024 LOL

Here are mine-

Overall GPA: 3.2
Nursing GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 89
