TWU fall 2023 applicants

Hi everyone! I am hoping to get a thread started for future Texas Woman’s University nursing students. I have been finishing up my pre requisites and planning to apply for fall nights and weekends. I would love to hear from other potential nursing students hoping to get into the TWU fall 2023 cohort.

Hi, so just to confirm, all we had to do was fill out the form correct?

I have the same question. After you guys filled out the acceptance form, all you guys got back was an email with your responses back right? Nothing else? I'm paranoid that I have to do more haha

I did get an email back with my responses as well. I think you're good. When you submitted your castle branch immunization tracker did you have to do anything else? I got an notification from castle branch that all of my statuses for the vaccines were incomplete.

I haven't done the castlebranch because I thought we were supposed to wait for a code for the group. Did you make an account and pay the $38?

There is no code, that's only for the background check which should already be done.  The instructions are on the clinical packet attachment we were sent w the acceptance email.  There is instructions on there how to do it. Yes you pay the money and it redirects you to the account you already made prior to set up the background check. It is due on 4/10.  It's basically where you will upload all your vaccines and CPR and other stuff! But you just have to buy and have it set up by 4/10 and then everything else will be gone over at orientation next month. So uploading the vaccines and CPR and other requirements aren't due until august! ?

Yeah it's not up to date so don't worry about the due dates yet.  You got the immunization tracker and that's all we needed to do before 4/10. Everything else will be gone over in orientation. I have my CPR and a few things so I started uploading but it's not mandatory yet!

OK thank you so much. So, the immunization tracker is basically paying the $38 right? Sorry, it's just that I went over the acceptance package and was a bit confused. I already paid the $38 and did a new castlebranch  account.

No worries. And yeah so you paid for the background check from before. So if you follow the instructions on the attachment imbedded in the acceptance package, it'll guide you to place a new order for the tracker.  Then prompts you to sign in or create a new account and you're just signing in to the account you made for you background check a few months back. It's your TWU email. Then you pay and yes I believe it was 38$ for the immunization tracker.  Then once you buy, you'll see it in your to do list;  it's like a list of 20 things.  that's all you need to do before 4/10! ?

I did go ahead and purchase my scrubs from the campus bookstore. The person working the counter said they've historically sold them at orientation but that becomes a little but chaotic and to purchase the ahead of time.

Do you know if they are running small or large? As I did not find any size chart on the website so kinda skeptical to order one

Large for sure. I'm 5'8 and 160 lbs. small fit me. Everyone Carrie's their weight different tho so I'd go try them on in person. We're biker shorts and a tank if you can. No changing rooms.

Oh wow, I'm 5'1 and 117lbs, you know if they have xxs then ? Cause I live in Mansfield and it gonna take like 45m to get there just to buy the scrub but buying it ahead sounds to be a good idea
