  1. Very interesting! They must have changed it I guess!
  2. Exactly. It's titer that they want only. So if you upload proof of vaccine, great, but that's why CB will prompt you to upload your titer bc that's what TWU requires. I also just uploaded titers.
  3. I don't remember seeing any family at my orientation. Tbh I think it's a little odd to bring family since it's an all day thing and all about your schedule, requirements and geared just for the students.
  4. You can wear whatever you want! ? Orientation is chill. A lot of it is in the auditorium and then you'll be in mini groups going to different stations like buying scrubs if needed, registering for classes, and getting to know the different extra curricular groups on campus etc. I don't think it's changed much, so when you get there, you sign in in the front and then you'll be given a schedule. I brought my backpack with my laptop and snacks haha. I hope that helps!
  5. During orientation, they usually will have multiple sizes of scrubs available to buy. You can "try on" but it's more trying on over clothes etc. So you can do that, or order online through bookstore, or go to Denton in person. I bought a pair during orientation and then another pair later on in October through the online store before we started going to the hospital.
  6. If you mean uploading a document that has multiple immunities and records on it, then yeah you can upload that same document for multiple. It's a person that reviews the document uploaded so as long as they see what TWU requires for them to see to approve it, then they will. If ends up not being approved, it will provide exact feedback on what CB will need for it to be approved. Hope that helps.
  7. I believe "next round" will be mid April bc that's the deadline for those that got accepted last week to accept or decline. My friend is in the same vote as you ? I also had classmates that found out last April and beyond so don't lose hope! Crossing my fingers for everyone.
  8. No. You will get an email saying you weren't accepted. As long as you got your eligibility email, you're still being considered. They're sent out in waves. Hopefully by Mid April bc that's when the first wave has to accept or decline. My friend is also in the same vote waiting. Sucks but you got this! I know some that found out last year mid April and later.
  9. Yeah ! It was basically the same for us. The final deadlines for fall clinical is July or August though so they'll go over it during orientation but very important to def get on it. I just wanted to reiterate that if you're in the process of a vaccine series that it's OK that it's not finished. You just have to be in process to be compliant. And also to validate that castle branch is indeed a pain ? good luck yall!
  10. Castlebranch is a huge a pain. It will take many attempts LOL. Also they will go over all of that during your orientation too, including all the vaccines. Sometimes your castlebranch won't have all of it loaded yet, none of it is due until like August, they give a long time. But good to def get ahead on what you have but it's a PAINNNN! Also to remind everyone, you just have to be in process with your vaccines to be compliant. Some are 6 months apart so you can only get one now and not until after the deadline and that's OK! ? lot numbers, I know someone asked that at orientation last year so Taylor Dukes (the compliance person) will go over all that with you.
  11. If it hasn't changed, Mondays are basically all day. Pharm and assessment which are 3 hours long each with a 2ish break in between so it's 9-5ish. Tuesday it's 1 lecture class called concepts and it's 3 hours. It was 1-4ish. So a potential for a half day Tuesdays? Your other 2 days are lab days and are different for everyone and won't be posted until July. It's doable as long as your job is flexible!
  12. I'm procrastinating ? supposed to be studying. I'm also keeping an eye on this thread for a friend who is waiting on a response still so she doesn't have to go crazy looking!! Patho with Serrano was very easy - typical online science class. She's very straight forward and was worth it to have my Summer off before the madness LOL. Clinical wise, the Google doc you fill out when accepting is what they use to determine clinical sites. Where you fill out your address, preferred days, employment, etc. You fill that Google doc out every semester. They TRY to keep hospital sites close to where you live. Your hospital location is the same for that clinical rotation. For first semester, you're just in 1 clinical so it's 6 shifts at that same hospital. The next semesters you will have multiple clinical days a week based on speciality. For example for semester 2, one of our clinical rotations is women's health so our hospital site is the same for that rotation! However I go to another hospital during this semester as well, but for my adult health rotation ? hope that makes sense.
  13. Don't need to register as that is all done during orientation in May. The only class that isn't apart of the nursing program is patho so you can def go ahead and look at the professors offered for Summer and fall. It is online so you can take any professor regardless of the campus, I took Serrano because she had the best rate my professor reviews so I also waited to take patho in the Fall! Besides patho, you take all the same classes as everyone else in your cohort so you're given specific codes when the time gets closer so don't worry about those ? the days of fighting for a spot in a class you want is long gone. as for the first few weeks, it can feel a little overwhelming because it's a lot thrown at ya at once. You will have 2 days a week of lecture and 2 days of lab, with one of the lab days turning into your clinical day aka when you go to the hospital. However you won't be at the hospital until mid October. Orientation does a good job at helping you know what you can expect for the first semester!
  14. Valid concern. A lot of classmates are driving 40 min or more. It sounds miserable. I def picked TWU because of how close the Dallas campus is because for me, it makes such a difference to be so close. It is a great program though. Lots of hospitals take ADN thankfully so I think it just comes down to what matters the most to you. For me, school was stressful enough so I didn't want to have a long commute before and after long days.
  15. No! You wear them for clinicals/lab. For the first semester you have classes 2 days a week(always can wear normal clothes), then 1 lab day and 1 clinical day and those are scrubs only. Congrats on those who got in! For those that are still waiting on a response, hold out hope! I am finishing my my second semester of the program so if yall have any questions, feel free to ask ?
