TWU fall 2023 applicants

Hi everyone! I am hoping to get a thread started for future Texas Woman’s University nursing students. I have been finishing up my pre requisites and planning to apply for fall nights and weekends. I would love to hear from other potential nursing students hoping to get into the TWU fall 2023 cohort.

Are you planning on applying to the traditional program or nights and weekend?

I actually haven’t decided yet

Are you taking your prerequisites elsewhere? I am doing nights and weekends since I have to work some.

Hi, I am also planning on applying for the Spring 2023 semester. I am applying for the Houston campus. I'm currently finishing up my pre-requisites.

I meant Fall, not Spring. Sorry

Feel free to PM me on Instagram @expeditionsandexplorations

I’m at TCC as well. Finishing up next semester. When do you plan on taking your TEAS? And when are you applying for TWU? I have called the school and read everything online but semi overwhelmed LOL

Thank you. I took the TEAS 6 a few days before the version changed to 7 and was not happy with the outcome, so I scheduled to retake TEAS 7 next month. I believe that the Fall opens in October and ends in the beginning of February, so I personally would try to take them before February. I wouldn't rush it. Just make sure you have enough time to study. That's a mistake I definitely made the first time taking them.

What are you using to study? I have some books, but any other resources you recommend?

For me personally, I bought the study packages on the ATI site with the practice tests and the Mometrix book too. The ATI book lacks a lot of information, but the practice tests are good. And I've just been going through my old A&P books and looking at Youtube videos this time around. I did good on the Reading and Math before, but I didn't do so well on the Science and English. So I'm just brushing up on those before retaking it.

I purchased the Mometrix study materials. The book and it comes with many practice tests.
