  1. Aw man, I thought you'd get in for sure. I've heard of one person getting rejected (with perfect stats) and they kept calling to ask what they could do or why they got rejected and after a lot of pestering the school admitted/found out that something went wrong (on their end) with the application. I don't know the full story but she was able to be admitted because of that. Unfortunately, UTH doesn't seem very reliable with stuff like that, so definitely call just to ask why you were rejected. Not saying it's the same situation but at least you could hear what they have to say. Also, ik you said you'd apply to UTMB if you didn't get in; another school with similar prereqs is TWU so look into that too. Good luck!!
  2. wow, she must have misunderstood. I think she might've been talking about how many credits you can transfer from an actual nursing program, not prerequisites. I got all of mine done at a community college and had an 84 TEAS so your 85 would definitely be competitive
  3. Ty!! yeah I've heard that the professors are really supportive. is there anything else that they've mentioned?
  4. How did you decide between the two? Or what makes UTMB your top choice? I also got into both and am trying to decide. I thought UT health would be my top choice since it's so close to the TMC but IDK
  5. Hey guys, I also got accepted this morning! I can't believe I got into all the schools I applied to but it's making it so much harder to choose LOL. I ruled out TWU since it's more expensive and a longer program but now I gotta decide between UTH and UTMB?what factors should I consider between the two? They're both about the same price, the only thing I can think of is that UTH is closer to the medical center For prospective students, I have a 4.0 GPA, 84 TEAS, and some hospital volunteer experience
  6. no, but there's still a lot of time left. In previous threads, people didn't get acceptances until June. I'd assume that it'll be sent out in waves up until mid June. Since the first wave was so early, there's probably going to be a lot of time in between them
  7. They had one this week? :0 I thought the earliest one was June 2nd
  8. did you decide between twu and ut health yet? they both offer tours now
  9. My last name starts with S, but from previous threads it looks like they didn't go in a certain order. Your HESI scores are really impressive though!!
  10. You register for classes during orientation
  11. Both are great schools, it depends on whether you prefer a 2 yr or 15 month program. Also UTH is about $4,000 cheaper than TWU
  12. Congrats! I was thinking of making a facebook group but tbh I don't know how to navigate facebook very well
  13. I originally accepted my TWU offer but I was notified that I got into a different school so within the next few days I'll email someone from TWU to notify them that I decline. I'm glad this happened before orientation and I'm happy that someone else will get admitted in place of me. My spot is for the Houston traditional program. Good luck!
  14. Thank you! It went out this morning. GPA overall: 4.0 HESI- 91.7% 96 Grammar, 92 Reading, 94 Vocab, 84 Bio, 84 Chem, 100 Math I was honestly really worried about my score in the biology and chemistry section because it was a point below the recommended score. I'm glad it worked out though ?
  15. Hey guys I don't know how but I got in for the fall!! I thought acceptance notifications didn't start until June, I'm beyond shocked. Did anyone else get a letter?
