Hello Princess WannaBe and other special Friends:

Soon we will be going through the same agony we just went through recently as we sat and waited on the letters with decisions that were made for our lives at the moment.

We are all going to be positive through this process again and once again

I am positive, upbeat and excited.

TWU Nursing Program here we come:nuke:

Princess WannaBe and others on the waitlist we are still pulling for each one of you to make into the Spring 09 program. Yes, as we know anything can happen...hang in there:yeah:

Prettyladie if you are meant to go to nursing school you will get in somewhere. It might be TWU who knows. With the economy some people don't wanna spend the money on school right now. How is ur science GPA looking?? You might think about taking some classes over if you don't get in anywhere which I hope doesn't happen

thanks for your advice. my science gpa is 3.53. im N O T retaking anything else. so hopefully one will take me or i will apply for fall, but im not retaking anything. i know nursing is competitive but Bs are not bad grades and i refuse to retake those.

Well u have have a nice science gpam. I know what you mean!! Never thought I see the day when B's seem like the same thing as C's or D's!!! Keep the faith up!! Anyone else hear that TWU is gonna start looking at other things besides grades soon?? This would be interesting to see how the stats look then

i havent heard that. what else would they consider? interview, essay, that would be different. are any of yall going to take the LVN/LPN exam after your first year of nursing school, so yall could start working. i was definitely looking at that on the texas BON website.

Prettyladie I don't know if theu r really going to change. That's hear say from what I gather but it would be interesting. I'm not going to take it because so many hospitals are phasing out LVN I rather just be a CNA/nurse tech on the side during school if I can handle it. Looks like most LVNs will have to work like home health or LTC which isn't what I want to do in my career path

well i just been seeing a lot of clinics saying either medical asst or lvn so thats why i wanted to do that. either way i want to work sometime like you said if i can handle it. i know a lot of hospitals have been listing PCT saying either be a cna or a currently enrolled nursing student. and the other will say either CNA or must have completed two clinical rotations. i just want to work on the weekends and go to school. that way i can pay rent.

Yeah a dr office is another route to go. I know what you mean. As a 2nd degree student I want you to get it right the first time around. Have you figured out what u will do with childcare??

Specializes in Emergency.

if i have to stay at home. then i have a babysitter who watches my niece and nephews since they were little. she charges 50 a week. but if my boyfriend is out of jail (i hope. he goes to court 3/20..its sad because hes in there for something he didnt do) by the time school starts then he will watch my son but if not then ill get on CCMS hopefully.

does twu go strictly by the 80% GPA and 20% NET for acceptance. i'm really scared b/c I didn't do that great on the NET exam. I got a 67 on it. My GPA is okay though..i have a 4.0.

Also, has anyone not at the denton campus taken the women's multicultural studies.... I don't know where to take it and i don't really want to take it at the denton campus in the summer.

ive taken it at denton, but i know that another applicant was told that you can take some kind of pe credits to cover it. im not real sure who i was talking to. didnt you apply to ut houston too.
