Hello Everyone,
Well I am currently looking to apply to TWU for Spring 2011. I thought it would be nice to start a thread because I am sure we will all need a good support system. The whole application process is so STRESSFUL!
Lets Get It Started!!!
Does anyone have the book list? I don't have advisement until the 10th. I wanted to order books online before it may be to late. thanks! My e-mail is [email protected]
.If you were just accepted, you will receive a packet in the mail that will explain the background check and drug screening. As for the CPR class, TNSA will be at the 2nd Advisement session and you will be able to sign up then (you should also receive and email or mail about when the 2nd Advisement session will be). If you want to get ahead, you can check out the TWU website for the immunizations that you will need. As for anything else you might want to know, you can ALWAYS email me through this website. I will be glad to help you!
BTW, CONGRATULATIONS:yeah:
:yeah:
, I know you must be excited:D.
Moe
Thanks Miss Moe :)
Gloworm26:Oh the city is abroad in Europe where I am from :). It calls so because of lot of ages ago it had a battle which was called The Battle of Sun and that is why that city has the nickname sun city :).
That is so interesting! Good luck getting everything done. It seems daunting, but you can do it. Moe has been a great guide throughout our process.
I am not doing the package, I'm going to try and find the books cheaper. I know they said it wouldn't save much, but not much is still some!! With all the extra daycare I'll be paying for now, I need to pinch pennies where I can.
I just wanted to let you know that workforce might be able to cover some of your day care. You can go here and see if you qualify. Workforce Solutions - Child Care - Financial Aid
I hope this helps. :)
Becca
Thanks Becca! It doesn't look like it covers any DFW area counties, but I'll start googling and see if there's anything similar. :)
How about this site: Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas
Hey guys, I'm currently applying to the Fall 2011 here at the Dallas campus. I was wondering if any of you would mind sharing your scores on the TEAS V and GPA from application to get into the program. I have a 3.3 GPA (transfer student so no bump) and got a 90.7% on my TEAS. There is currently no point system posted as to how they are using the teast and GPA for admissions. I am just curious to see if i have any chance to get in. My TEAS V score put me in the 99th percentile nation wide and 98th for the program... whatever that really boils down to. Any light shed would be a help. I am applying to other programs, but this is the only BSN program I'm going for. I was also told that being male would improve my chances slightly, but I'm doubtful of that too.

Ummm...your TEAS score looks great!!! I SERIOUSLY doubt that being male would improve your chances...that sounds like a discrimination lawsuit waiting to happen:uhoh3:. It is true however, that being male can increase your chances of higher pay once you are licensed. In my personal experience and from what I have also heard form others, your TEAS score and your 1st grades on Micro, A&P I/II, Stats (maybe I missed a course) are extremely important to your admission. Try not to listen to previous GPA numbers( I have seen 3.2 to 4.0+)...just stay positive and TURN IN YOUR ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS EARLY.
Good luck to you in reaching your goals!!!!!
