TWU Applicants Spring 2011

Hello Everyone,

Well I am currently looking to apply to TWU for Spring 2011. I thought it would be nice to start a thread because I am sure we will all need a good support system. The whole application process is so STRESSFUL!

Lets Get It Started!!!

Good day everyone! I just want to ask if you all receive any emails from TNSA regarding our orders for the badges and uniforms. Also I want to ask if you guys know when will be the CPR class that the TNSA plans to conduct.

There was a sign up list on Advisement Day for the CPR classes. Once you paid, you were able to pick a date. The classes are on a first come basis, and fill up fast. Like I said, I will check the dates and let you guys know of any open spots.:D

All I can say is that finals are OVER!!! I did ok but they are not the grades that I am used to..

Wow I've been MIA! I had to go back a couple of pages & look through this forum lol

Anyways, I'm still contemplating if I'm going to buy the book package. I wish I would've won that package they gave away orientation day lol

Lucky, check your email they just sent something in regards to the CPR class. I think I'm going to sign up in the afternoon, I'm not really a morning person...but I know thats gonna change soon lol I'm not sure yet though.

I aslo receive the email regarding the CPR class. Good to know that we're going to get the CPR card on the same day that we complete the course.

Today luckily I got a phone call that there is one opening spot so I am accepted into nursing TWU Houston campus, I am happy but also worried that I won't have much time. I read that you guys getting emails about CPR. Did you register somewhere or they are sending you through TWU email??? And another question where do you go for criminal background screening and drug testing??? I am foreigner so I have no clue about this screening stuff :) Could you please advise for further steps I should do before the class starts. Thanks!!!:)

Anyone know what the clickers will be used for? And do we need it for Concepts class, lab or both?

If you were just accepted, you will receive a packet in the mail that will explain the background check and drug screening. As for the CPR class, TNSA will be at the 2nd Advisement session and you will be able to sign up then (you should also receive and email or mail about when the 2nd Advisement session will be). If you want to get ahead, you can check out the TWU website for the immunizations that you will need. As for anything else you might want to know, you can ALWAYS email me through this website. I will be glad to help you!

@ Dallas Campus...

Well, I am at the Houston campus. We used the Assessment book by Jarvis. I am not sure if Dallas is using the same assessment book. Someone from Dallas might be able to answer your question.
