Tsystem

Does anyone have any info on TSYSTEM?

Been almost 8 months in ESD and still loving it!!!! Most of the time, :roll

A TSytem is a "chief complaint" charting system for the emergency department. I wish we had it here but we are stuck with the narrative charting. YUK! Very time consuming. Also I think the t-system helps to assure that all your I's are dotted and T's are crossed in your charting.

i'd like to learn more about it.

JJFROG, we don't use it either here at the hospital i work at, sounds like it would be nice. I was also wondering if anyone knew anything about employment with tsystem. I've heard of needing 4yrs exp in ESD, lots of traveling to different ESD to give info/help in implementing tsystem. Sounds interesting, eh?

Only our doctors use the T-sheets. We were told they were "to complicated" for the nurses!

"too complicated for the nurses"

Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!

Too complicated for nurses? Gee whiz...I have to decipher I/O sheets for the docs!

Tell me about it! The doc's can't find anything in the charts...can't figure out the triage sheets...but yet I can look at a T sheet and figure what their assessment was, the plan and who they taked to! To complicated my butt!

Is there a t sheet system for nurses? I though there was only one for docs.

Yes ERDiane they do make a t-sheet system for nurses. Very similar to the docs sheets.

Is there anywhere to read more on this system??? What we have now in our ED is soooooooo cumbersome.

My husband currently works for T-System, as do several of my good friends.....

I really couldn't tell you much about it, though. Sorry!

I do know that they have really great Christmas parties, and they keep their lounge stocked with food and drinks (my husband is easy to please, lol).....

we did the T-sheets the front side in triage & the doc reviewed it & signed off then did the back. saved a lot of paper work. Just annoying to have to do paper work everywhere. It's a good system once ya figure out which sheet the doc wants. I worked with docs that were good enuff to say which one when it was a close call (between lac & fall) or something like that...

tell hubby his company is remarkable, I really liked the T-sheets, (always room for growth) but pretty compact & I always go for it even now that I am in a unit, because I get a good sum up of what happened in the ER or transferring hospital's ER. :)

WOW! I have been looking at ways to improve nursing documentation in ER--a "rent-a-doc" that we use told me about the T system. These are really great!!
