Truman Nursing Application Extension

Does anyone have any scoop on why Truman College suddenly, little more than a week before the application deadline, extended it for another month? On their Website there is an announcement that the deadline has been extended until March 1. However, they provide no explanation as to why (or how it will affect the decision process and timeline). I highly doubt they don't have enough applicants unless they are rethinking their entrance guidelines, which wouldn't surprise me, but would also be somewhat shady this late in the game. Just wondering if anyone knows of anything going on, or if it's just a ploy to get a bigger pool of applicants.

I'm giving it about a 90% chance of happening exactly that way. :) But a gal has gotta hold on to some hope!! :confused:

I agree with you both Scigeek and N2B. I might give it more like 80% chance of being as totally screwed up as the application process. I think the fact that you are here posting at 1/4 til 1 am says a lot. Despite what happens tomorrow, we'll all be nurses someday! Good luck again too you all!

At this point, just tell me already, end the torture. I have waited so long. And if I do get in (months ago, it would have been a given) I certainly won't be as excited as I would have been if we hadn't been dragged through the mud for the last I don't know how long...

I was up anyway.....sleep is a luxury, not a necessity. ha ha. Should we all call Dr. Gurnee today? Who wants to go first??? (I didn't get up early because of this.....my husband get up early and unfortunately woke me).

i checked truman office hours. it starts at 9 am :\. already called Truman nursing office, no answer

The Truman office will be unavailable today, I guarantee you (how do you spell guarantee??, I am oh so tired...busy completing a take home A&P II exam from Wright College). They NEVER answer their phones when you need them. And if you do get hold of them, they NEVER call you back when they say they will.

I'm glad to see we have some new voices here. I was actually feeling like one of the lost voices in the wilderness other than you and one other. Wonder how many people like us there actually are out there who have been emotionally tortured by all this...

ya a few of my friends applied too. they feel the same way. this is just ridiculous! the suspense is killing me!!!
