:yeah:HELLO GUYS !!! MY NAME IS CHASTITY AND I'M NEW TO THIS WEBSITE. I WAS ACCEPTED TO 2 GREAT SCHOOLS IN CHICAGO(C.C.C)TRUMAN COLLEGE AND DALEY COLLEGE. I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE BECAUSE BOTH ARE GOOD SCHOOLS. :icon_roll ONE FACTOR IS I TOOK ALL MY CLASSES AT DALEY, AND DALEY IS NOT TOO FAR FROM MY HOME. I GOT MY LETTER FIRST FROM TRUMAN AND I ACCEPTED, THEN I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER FROM DALEY AND I ACCEPTED. CALL ME CRAZY BUT I'M ATTENDING BOTH ORIENTATIONS, SO I CAN EVENTUALLY MAKE UP MY MIND. IS THERE ANYONE WHO GOT ACCEPTED AT TRUMAN OR DALEY OR ANYONE WHOSE FAMILIAR WITH THESE SCHOOLS. I NEED SOME SERIOUS FEEDBACK OR INFORMATION. YOUR HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. PLEASE GUYS HELP ME OUT ON THIS ONE. CONGRATS TO ALL THE STUDENTS WHO WERE ACCEPTED INTO NURSING SCHOOL. :w00t::clphnds::ancong!::stdnrsrck:

I can't speak for the RN program, but I got my CNA from Truman and I thought the program was HORRIBLE. My teacher was. . .let's just say really outdated in her education, old fashioned. . .just awful. That said, it was really easy on account of this, ha ha.
I have a friend who got her RN from Daley, she had no complaints. My "babydaddy" (lol) is getting his paramedic from Malcolm X.
I don't live in Chicago anymore, BTW, so I may be a tiny bit outdated on things. Wish I were still there.

I will attend the the evening nursing program at Truman this fall. I think it's a good idea to attend both orientations. Ask nursing students at Daley College and Truman for their opinions of the program. Then you need to consider if it a big hassle for very long commute to classes and clinical. From what I heard, if you denied your seat at Truman, you cannot reapply the next following year. Check out Truman new policy state on their website.

I was accepted into both Truman and Daley as well. I am going to Truman, because it was my first choice and it has an excellent reputation. All I know of Daley is that it is accredited, and thats why I applied. I know that Truman has had a 100 percent pass rate on the NCLEX for the last two years, and has some very good teachers as I have heard nothing but positive feedback. I think you should go to both orientations and decide which is better for you, ask about the pass rate at Daley at the orientation.

I was accepted to Truman and MalcolmX. I already attended MalcolmX, but I don't think I will go there, though the location is more convenient. I will attend Truman's night classes.

Very Disorganized but with the grace of God and hard work I made it through. :smackingf I was not a Happy Camper. lol. :yeah:I was accepted to Olive Harvey, Truman and Daley. I chose Daley. I attended the ATI Nclex review and talked to other ccc nursing students and all of us had many things in common with our Nursing School experience. DISORGANIZED, to say the least. I am happy its's over and now I can really start my journey on preparing for NCLEX:dancgrp:Classs of 2011 !
