Hello every one I have taken my test 3 times and have been unsuccessful. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. 1st time 85 and I did not no anything on this test 2 time 161 and third time 160 I just don't know where to start. Can anyone give me tips?
Practice tests. Lots of them. And only study rationale and content if you are seeing a trend in what you are getting incorrect on the practice tests.
Stop agonizing and reading those questions 152 times!! Read the question, pick an answer. Do not change your answer unless you are quite sure you mis-clicked. DO NOT look "into" the question. Take it at face value.
There are people who just don't test well, and others who have learning issues that don't allow them to test well. Is there any help at your former college? Any tutors, study groups, can you speak with the guidance counselor on what accommodations that might be available to you if you have learning issues? Can you audit a test prep class at your college?
You can do this, you just need to change your strategy.
Airway, breathing, circulation, function.
Best wishes and let us know how it goes!
Took my NCLEX RN 5th time today....all 265 Q's, Fail I'm more than certain.
1st time 265Q's, 2nd time 76 Q's, 3rd time 82 Q's, 4th time, 256Q's (ran out out of time), today, 265Q's.....Absolutely clueless. I did all of Kaplan and Hurst and LaCharity and did fairly well. Dont give up. I have no advice. Im at a huge loss but I'm 25, I'll keep doing the NCLEX until I pass. Idc if I'm 70 and get to work 1 day as a RN. Tombstone will read RN on it. :) Hang in there! Someone like me is in a similar/worse situation.

If you're weak on content. I would recommend Hurst Review. I am a Foreign Educated Nurse and Hurst helped me pass the Exam with 75 Questions. I just passed the test 04/16/2015. I also used Kaplan, the purple book 'cause some topics are not in the hurst review. I have my PDA too. I did Kaplan, nclex mastery apps on my mobile for free for practice tests, as well as Saunders online. My study materials were all very helpful but Hurst is way better. It helped me a lot. Don't give up. You can pass the exam too. Good luck!
I definitely would agree with the NCSBN Learning Extension. Also, did you work on the remediation type areas the board sends you as your weak areas? Another thing you can do is call your state board of nursing and ask them what you can do different. They more than likely can offer some guidance and learning material that they know will be beneficial. Most importantly, don't give up on yourself. Have faith and courage and it will guide you:)
Best of luck!!

OP, you said "I don't know what I'm doing wrong". That's what's wrong! Stop trying to do this by yourself. Enroll in a remedial class or hire a NCLEX tutor that can help you figure out what you are missing, then you can prepare and p0ass next time.
