I took the NCLEX(RN) today and I have got to tell you, it wasn't bad. I mean, really. I think everyone should definitely study and prepare, but I walked out of there feeling totally relieved. After hearing everyone's stories about what tools they used to study, and how many questions they did everyday and this book has questions more like the NCLEX- it had me pulling my hair out! Okay, here's the truth. It's basic. I had 18 SATA, 3-4 put in order, around 15 Priority, 1 whom would room with whom and 3 "weird" medication field questions. I was there for 55 minutes and my computer shut off at 75 (that felt good)! Go in there prepared, but don't freak yourself out! Did you know the first time passing rate is 86%? (learned that while reading the Pearson flyer in the waiting room)
YOU GOT THIS:)
PS I did the Vue trick and got the good message!

I had the max questions and found it to be pretty rough. I did get the good Pop Up but won't believe it until I get an official results. It's a Holiday so I am concerned if the PVT will be accurate. I hope and Pray :)

LOL. I wish I had your exam! Mine was brutal.
I had 15+SATAs (I stopped counting after awhile), majority of these were on meds. =(
5-priority. 2 room questions.
1 EKG.
No drag and drop. No audio. No hot spot. No math. questions.
We'll see tomorrow if i passed or not. * crosses fingers*

I felt like the OP. I wanted to jump off the 2nd story balcony to the first floor I had so much energy! I was excited having about 30 SATAs and a shut off of 75. I knew I passed. It felt great. Sure I forgot a few things and probably missed a couple questions, but I did pass.
It's not really that bad, I agree. I do think it could be bad if they ask a lot of questions about topics you aren't familiar with. Luckily my favorite subjects have always been pharmacology, psychiatry, and neurology and my NCLEX spent about 60% on those subjects. I did get OB and Peds which I'm weak in, but they weren't that hard. If my test had been full of endocrine, hardcore respiratory, cardiovascular, or subjects I know no more of less than any other new grad, then I would've been struggling.

Wow you re awesome! I couldn't do that much SATA questions! Congratulations! :))
How were you even excited about the SATAs? LOL I nearly freaked bc I felt that I kept answering them wrong. I got them all back to back. Looking back at it, I guess its a good thing. But at the moment, you feel as if you're just doing poorly, at least that's how I felt.
@ TCASII - I had the opposite. I wished I had OB/Ped questions! I had a lot of pharm, endocrine, respiratory & cardio. After 75 questions, my computer turned off. I freaked out.

Okay, here's a little secret: The NCLEX gives you partial credit for SATA's. They won't admit it. But, I can promise you, I did NOT get all 18 SATA's perfect, but I passed at 75 questions. A "little bird" told me this secret. I knew this going in so I didn't stress the SATA questions.

ANYTHING is possible, i have seen ppl say they had 20/30 SATA questions, unless you are just so good at answering these type of questions....anyway Congratulations to all those who have passed, that is all it matters in the end
