Please I need advice before taking nclex again I don't know what else to do I did everything. I've been trying to pass nclex for the past 4 years. Please if anyone have suggestions please let me know.
In that case I would suggest purchasing the qbank from Kaplan or any other place and practicing hundreds of questions daily. You need to figure out how to choose the correct answer. Since you say you know the content then maybe the problem is with prioritization? I've seen a lot of questions that ask for most important, first, initial action.
If you know the content then it might be just how you critically think or test-taking skills. You know your stuff
but you might be having a hard time choosing the best answer out of all the really great answers.
Perhaps, you can get someone to help you break the parts of a question
with you so you can choose and focus on picking the best answers.
Have u checked into seeing if u can take NCLEX PN? I know it's not a easier test than NCLEX RN but as u know a LPN is just a different kind of nurse u should see if u can do that see if u pass it then go from there because I believe after all the review u know the content. Have u maybe looked into meds for anxiety?
O ok it's this guy in my area that teaches a class on test strategies & in our current class we all repeat test takers. One person tested for the 8th time Saturday & passed. The teacher has no nursing background he just teaches strategy. I'm the only person left to test. Maybe you can find someone to help with strategy if content isn't your problem.
@Danielle318
do you have any info about this guy who teaches the test taking skills?my main problem is test strategy. does he has a blog/page?thanks
I worked with a girl who took the nclex 7 times in 2.5 years before she finally passed.
Do you feel rushed taking the test? Are you having test anxiety? Is english your first language? Did you have any difficulty with exams in school? Are you getting the max amount of questions on the nclex?
I'm just trying to think of possible reasons why this is happening to you. It sounds like you're confident about knowing the content.
